I’m guessing after Love Is Blind host Nick Lachey received the big news he allegedly has to attend AA meetings, Vanessa Lachey was hotter than 98 degrees. Sorry, had to be done. I’ve never known Nick to have an ornery personality in the press, but I guess one too many beers might make him edgy.
Nick let his spicy attitude get the better of him with a female photographer a year ago and he’s just now preparing to pay the price. According to Us Weekly, Nick will reportedly be required to attend 52 weeks of Alcoholics Anonymous meetings as well as anger management classes.
In March 2022 Nick felt the need to approach photographer Jody Santos as she sat in her car. Video footage showed Nick reaching into Jody’s car and trying to grab her cell phone when he realized she was photographing him. Instead of being flattered someone still knew he was alive, Nick proceeded to curse at Jody and punched her car window after she rolled it up. Not for nothing, I watched the footage and was personally shocked at how aggressively he acted.
The Daily Mail shared Nick was eventually charged with assault and battery. Jody said, “In all my years of photographing celebrities, no one has ever tried to hit me.” She added, “I am just relieved that I rolled up my window as fast as I did, otherwise he would have knocked me out. No doubt about it.”
It’s not like she was in his face, shouting his name. That hasn’t happened to Nick in about… 20 years. Jody explained, “Nick’s not really on the radar. I just saw him and I figured I would get a shot of a couple coming out of a restaurant. I have taken photos of him plenty of times and never had a problem, but this time was different.”
But it appears Nick isn’t the only one in the family who is easily triggered. Jody claims she heard Nick’s wife Vanessa sic him on her. “[I] heard Vanessa say, ‘Go get ’em, open the door,’ and then he started walking towards my car all aggressive.” Nick was so incensed, he almost broke his own hand punching Jody’s car window. Allegedly.
“I thought he was going to break his hand. I am surprised he didn’t shatter the window, “ Jody shared. It truly was a bizarre situation because this woman was not doing anything remotely weird. That said, Nick was not immediately charged with attempted assault. The court order only came down after Jody made continuous calls to the Beverly Hills Police Department.
As for ‘ol Nicky, he tweeted about the situation a day after it went down. “Last night, after enjoying a great dinner with my wife and our dear friend, the paparazzi harassed us as we walked back to our hotel.” Objection, he wishes.
He continued, “I clearly overreacted. I’ve been in this game long enough to know that their antics are sadly part of the deal. Stupid of me. Done.” But it wasn’t done because it didn’t happen that way, per the footage. Nick has yet to respond to repeated requests for a statement.
