Although Drew Sidora and Ralph Pittman have only starred on Real Housewives of Atlanta for two seasons, both have given fans plenty to discuss. From Ralph’s continual gaslighting to his mysterious Tampa trip, it’s safe to say the pair has been maneuvering rocky terrain for some time. And as fans of the Real Housewives have been urging Drew to leave Ralph for two years, it’s finally here.
In March, news broke about Drew and Ralph’s messy divorce battle. Initially, fans in the Bravoverse were stunned to find out about Ralph’s filing. But in a shocking turn of events, Drew actually beat him to the courthouse by a whole 61 minutes. According to legal documents, the Atlanta courts received Drew’s petition on February 10th at 1:10 PM. At 2:11 PM, the same day Ralph’s petition made it to the judge’s desk. Talk about drama!
In a statement, Drew had a few things to say. “After eight years of wholeheartedly fighting for my marriage, I have made the agonizing decision to release my husband with love.” “Although Ralph and I have decided to move forward separately, the hope is to remain friends so that we can co-parent responsibly.”
RHOA viewers saw the soon-to-be-divorced couple navigating challenging conversations around Ralph adopting Drew’s biological son. “There’s no reason for us to do it. He already has my last name, so for Jojo, there’s no benefit that would come from actually adopting him — because he’s already mine,” Ralph said in August 2022.
There’s no denying that divorces on the Real Housewives can be complicated. Consequently, many Bravo stars have sent the actress well wishes. During a recent Watch What Happens Live appearance, Porsha Willams broke her silence on the devastating news.
“My reaction to any of these girls on these shows doing a divorce in public, automatically, my heart goes out to them. Because I had to do it on TV,” Porsha said, according to Bravo’s The Daily Dish. The former RHOA star kept sharing her thoughts, saying she’s praying for Drew and Ralph.
“In a situation like that, you want the best outcome for both people. If it’s not working out, go ahead and break up,” she said.
Drew’s divorce filing notes that her marriage to Ralph was “irrevocably broken.” The reality star claims she “simply cannot take [Ralph’s] continued blatant disrespect and mental abuse any longer.”
Viewers still have some time before the RHOA Season 15 airs. However, I’m sure it will be explosive when it does. It’s been too long without Kenya Moore’s shade and Kandi Burruss’ lackluster (in my opinion) singing. But even then, there’s something comforting about them that I miss. We’ve gotten behind-the-scenes looks at Drew’s marriage before. However, nothing would’ve prepared me for this– and I’m so ready.
