What do you do after breaking the internet with your months-long affair, ruining a new friendship, and tarnishing a nine-year relationship? The controversial couple recently came face-to-face with their castmates during the Vanderpump Rules season 10 reunion taping. And although they were at the center of the controversy, People reports that they are looking ahead to what’s next for their relationship.
Since the day of the Pump Rules reunion taping, sources have come out teasing that the sitdown was a wild combination of emotional and confrontational. To no one’s surprise, Tom and Raquel were at the center of it all. A source described it as a “very loud, very enraged firing squad.” While that might be enough to strain a normal relationship, Tom and Raquel’s relationship is far from normal. Nevertheless, a source says that the heated reunion didn’t hurt their relationship and might have even made them closer.
“The reunion was tough, but they didn’t expect it wouldn’t be. They’ve both clearly stated they regret the circumstances around what happened — and apologized sincerely for the hurt they caused — but at the end of the day, they can’t change anything about how things were handled,” an insider explained.

If you were hoping for the VPR group to come together for a kumbaya moment at the end of the reunion, keep dreaming. The source told People that the day ended without any resolution. They added, “It’ll be interesting to see whether this group ever truly forgives them, but stranger things have happened.”
Regardless of where Tom and Raquel stand within the Pump Rules circle, the opinions of their friend group aren’t going to change the course of their relationship. They still aren’t putting an official label on their connection, but a source says they’re working on figuring that out.
“[They] are both taking time to adjust to where things are now before making any decisions about their futures,” the insider said. “They care about one another. Their relationship was emotional way before it was physical.”
Another source close to the cast shared a similar sentiment, indicating that they were processing the affair’s aftermath before they put an official title on the relationship. They should at least wait until season 10 finishes airing before they go official.
An insider explained Tom and Raquel’s mindset right now as they navigate the status of their relationship. The source said, “They are giving one another the space to figure out things in their own lives right now before making any sort of call on where they stand.” The insider continued, “They both care for one another, but are also aware of the pain they caused and know they need to focus on what drove them to make these decisions first and foremost.”
