Nowhere to go. Disgraced Vanderpump Rules star Tom Sandoval burned most of his bridges when his affair with Raquel Leviss came to light. So, he’s been holed up on one side of the house he still shares with Ariana Madix.
Perhaps Tom Schwartz would have opened his doors to his business partner. Scheana Shay debunked that suggestion as Schwartz already has a roommate. Finances could be a factor. Sandoval and Schwartz dumped a helluva lot of money into their newest restaurant.
So it’s quite possible that Sandoval simply can’t afford to leave. Though luckily for Ariana, the house is big enough that she doesn’t have to gaze at her ex-boyfriend’s mustached mug. She also got custody of the dog they once shared. Silver linings.
Us Weekly reported that Sandoval detailed his living situation while on the Howie Mandel Does Stuff podcast. Among other outrageous statements that earned him no sympathy, the TomTom co-owner claimed to “run the house.”
“I don’t have a lot of friends I can stay with right now. … I kind of run the house,” Sandoval said. “I handle the gardening [and] the housekeeping. My assistant comes and cleans and stocks everything. I basically run everything in the house.”
The five-bedroom house is surely a lot to clean. The former couple bought it for $2.075 million during happier times. “[Ariana’s] in the house. This is a big house,” Sandoval said. “We have a go between. We text when we’re coming and going.”
Sandoval and Ariana manage to avoid each other. The Sandoval & The Most Extras frontman has a separate bedroom and spends time in the at-home gym. It’s a best-option scenario, given that neither party wants to vacate their home. Though, “initially” Ariana was more reactive and Sandoval “had to stay away.”
Once again, Scheana shared what she knew on her Scheananigans podcast. Apparently, Sandoval toned down his rhetoric since the start of all this Scandoval.
“He’s trying to be more respectful of her, I think,” Scheana said last week. “But in the beginning, it was like, ‘This is my house! I pay half the mortgage, I’m gonna come and go as I please.’ And it’s just like, ‘Bro, you just blew up her world. The least you can do is give her some f–king space.’” She added, “It’s called a hotel!”
Their current living situation is stable. But Sandoval and Ariana will eventually sell the house. “The house is not listed yet, no,” Sandoval said during the interview. “[Ariana’s] really busy right now, she’s obviously blowing up. I’m really happy to see that. I’ve been busy as well trying to get things together.”
Sandoval’s sit down with Howie Mandel may cost him. He certainly didn’t expect to be poorly received. The revelation that he broke up with Ariana two weeks before she found out about Raquel is questionable. He also described a “magnetic” first kiss with Raquel.
Bravo executives were not happy about the interview. As a result, there is talk of axing Sandoval from VPR.
