The Keough family is expanding again! Matriarch Jeana Keough was cast as an original housewife on the series premiere of the Real Housewives of Orange County. Yup, that was the era of Vicki Gunvalson’s “family van” meltdown.
Jeana and her brood starred on the hit reality TV show for five seasons. Fans became familiar with her three children, Shane Keough, Kara Keough, and Colton Keough. Shane was trying out for college baseball teams in one season. He planned to follow in his late father, Matt Keough’s, footsteps.
Fast forward to 2023. Bravo TV reported that Jeanna is about to become a grandmother again. Kara Keough Bosworth has two living children. Baby Vaughn was born in 2021, and the couple also have a daughter named Decker. Kara and her husband tragically lost another boy in April 2020, named McCoy, a few days after his birth. In honor of that child, she got a tattoo mixed with his ashes.
“She’s a warrior, man,” Shane said of Kara during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live. “Seeing her little boy, seeing the joy that he’s bringing to the family and so many moms around the world who have suffered a loss like that, it’s inspiring beyond belief.”
Putting the tragedy behind them, the Keoughs are gearing up to welcome Shane and his wife Francheska Perez’s baby in October. Bravo TV reported that the couple posted a pregnancy announcement on April 16, 2023. The Instagram post shows a picture of a onesie with the words “Baby Keough” embroidered on it, along with white flowers.
The baseball pro included sonogram images. In another picture, the soon-to-be parents are cuddled up on a rug with their dog. Shane captioned that one, “Keough family grows by one October 2023.”

In a follow-up announcement, the couple revealed the sex of their baby. The Instagram post from April 21, 2023 shared photos and a video from the reveal party. Shane captioned the post, “Baby girl, we can’t wait to meet you.”
This is a joyous next step for Shane and Francheska. The couple enjoyed a two-month engagement before tying the knot in Florida in December 2022. At the time that his love said yes, Shane posted another announcement to Instagram.
“Best birthday present ever! I can’t wait for [Francheska] to be Mrs. Keough,” Shane wrote. “I am so happy we got to share this moment with our families. A perfect gift. I love you, future wife. 2023 here we come!”
The newlyweds exchanged vows at the Congaree and Penn farm in Jacksonville, under a weeping willow tree. The bride wore a halter-top dress. Shane had a simple but distinguished tuxedo.
The intimate ceremony was witnessed by family only. Younger brother Colton was there. And Kara filled an extraordinary role by officiating the wedding.
