The past couple of years or so have been an odd time for Erika Jayne. Her most notable hurdle has been Tom Girardi’s ongoing legal troubles and the extent to which Erika was implicated in the allegations against him.
Erika was attempting to divorce Tom, but with all of Tom’s ongoing legal demands, the divorce was left in limbo. Nevertheless, she’s kept on keeping on. She’s kept her run on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alive, even amid all her issues.
She was also very aware that she wasn’t the only one having issues. Additionally, Sutton Stracke and Kyle Richards were and are going through marital troubles of their own. In an interview with Billboard, Erika expressed what she went through and what she saw her castmates go through for RHOBH Season 13.
Erika found “a whole different mind frame”
During Season 13, Erika said she was feeling “good” and that she was “in a better place.” She noted that her upcoming residency put her “in a whole different mind frame.” Despite everything happening in her personal life, Erika is beyond thrilled to take to the stage again. However, she felt her costars weren’t feeling similarly.
With Season 13, she teased, “Everyone else is going through a lot, you know, you see people having the worst time of their lives and their marriages and friendships. I feel good about my season. I feel good about where I’m at in life. [But] other people are going through their own struggles.”
She also noted how she’d been working on herself. “I have spent a lot of time in therapy which, for me, I think was super important.” She said she learned more “patience,” and that “everything [is] going to be okay.” And with such optimism, she concluded saying, “This is a wonderful, fantastic challenge and a brand new chapter in my life and I feel very hopeful about that.”
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is expected to return to Bravo in November 2023.
