Spoiler alert—this post is dedicated to just how incredible the former Real Housewives of New York City star Sonja Morgan is. Bravo fans were introduced to Sonja when she grabbed hold of her golden apple, sharing she wasn’t a typical New York socialite. Instead, she often liked to figure things out as she went along, always making excellent, yet impulsive decisions.
Sonja Accepts Who She Is
As Sonja once said, she’s gone from “classy to trashy,” but the Real Housewives star seems okay with that evolution. True fans would never call Sonja trashy, in fact, it was Aviva Drescher who called the blonde “white trash.”
It’s remarkable that no matter what’s thrown at Sonja, she can take it all in stride and laugh at herself. With timeless advice like “There are three things for the bidet—washing your face, doing laundry, and the obvious,” it is hard not to admire a woman who will plunk her swollen face into a bidet ice bath.
Sonja Tickles Viewers’ Funny Bones
The performer has a genuine knack for making others laugh, especially when it comes to her one-liners. Over the years, there have been numerous moments where she put it all out on the line to get a round of applause from an audience.
Who could forget Season 6 when Sonja put on her own cabaret? Firstly, the woman had no fear about performing half-naked in front of her closest friends and lovers. Her delusions of grandeur often cracked fans up, especially when thinking back to her toaster oven (which I am still waiting on.) Along with Sonja’s humorous attitude, she really knows how to let her hair and bikini top down, which often forces those around to have fun, too!

Sonjarita is the straw that stirs the drink. Throughout her time on the Real Housewives of New York City, she has come up with a few epic one-liners. If we went on to list them all, we would be here for years, but here are a few to remind us just how wonderful Sonja is. Sonja’s the Come Back Kid
Thanks to Luann & Sonja: Welcome to Crappie Lake, the mother of one has helped revive her career on Bravo. After Season 13 of the Real Housewives of New York City was a bust, the network decided to give the boot to the OGs in favor of a younger group of friends. However, Sonja didn’t let the news slow her down. She kept hustling, eventually landing her own updated Simple Life-themed show with her best friend, Luann de Lesseps.
The new series proved that Sonja had been enormously missed from viewers’ small screens. Not only did Sonja not miss a beat, but she was the same warm and loving self she had been for those years on the Real Housewives. In all honesty, seeing Sonja gave fans a sense of comfort they had lacked since the shake-up.
Sonja Is a Power House
What truely makes Sonja so damn entertaining is her ability to relate to her fans. Never forgetting she was once a part of the famed Morgan family, Sonja still brings a level of humbling to whatever she is working on. For example, Welcome to Crappie Lake showed her extreme compassion for the small town that had almost been devastated by the worldwide pandemic. Throughout her stay, Sonja made real connections with the citizens.
Sonja doesn’t let her luxury life interfere with getting her hands dirty. During her new series, Sonja and Luann had no issues climbing into the mud, noodling for catfish, and building pens at the animal shelter. All the while still cracking jokes and passing gas, that’s our Sonja. It just goes without saying that Sonja is enjoyable to watch, so how you could not love her, is the real question.
