The new Real Housewives of New York ladies have served up some much-discussed looks throughout the rebooted season. Earlier this week, viewers got their first peek at the RHONY Season 14 reunion looks. The biggest takeaway was how chaotic and uncoordinated everything was. And a certain Jenna Lyons‘ sartorial choice caused some controversy.
We’ll have to wait until late October to see these looks in action. But based on photos, we feel confident ranking the ladies’ debut reunion looks from worst to best.
6. Brynn Whitfield
Oh Brynn Whitfield, what happened? The stunning and sultry breakout star has served looks time and time again, both on and off-camera. On a recent Watch What Happens Live, she rocked a sexy red dress that reminded us of Cameron Diaz’s star-making moment in The Mask. We’re pretty sure Tyler Cameron‘s eyes popped out of his head like Jim Carrey.
Maybe we should give her points for mixing things up? But this off-the-shoulder black velvet dress with doily lace, a big heart applique, and a high slit, just has us confused. The more we look at it, the less we like it (and we really didn’t like it to begin with). We fully expect Brynn to return for another season, so let’s hope her Season 15 reunion outfit makes up for this mess.
5. Sai De Silva
Sai De Silva may be a fashion influencer, but we haven’t been too impressed with her style on RHONY so far. This shimmery gold dress is nice, if a bit underwhelming. Points for the matching but not too matchy-matchy gold mules. It’s not bad, just not memorable. At least it’s an improvement from some of Sai’s confessional looks.
4. Erin Lichy
Did Sai and Erin Lichy plan to match without telling any of their co-stars? They’re the closest this reunion has to any coordination. Alas, neither of these gold dresses really stands out, hence why we put them in the middle of the pack.
Erin looks cute, if underdressed. The minidress perfectly shows off her toned and tanned figure. But this look seems better suited for midsummer drinks with the girls than for filming a Real Housewives reunion that won’t air until late October. Looking at some of the other ladies’ ensembles, we have to wonder if she was cold during filming. We also wish the exposed zippers detail wasn’t there—it makes the dress feel dated.
3. Jessel Taank
Jessel Taank also showed up shimmering, although we doubt she was part of any group chat with frenemies Erin and Sai. Of the metallic dresses, we like this the best, but not by a wide margin.
Jessel’s reunion ensemble is kind of giving us a classic Old Hollywood vibe, and we love her hair and makeup. The bronze-gold gown looks similar to what she wore at the RHONY Season 14 premiere, where she unfortunately fell ill. Let’s hope she had a better time at the reunion.
2. Jenna Lyons
We’re sure this is gonna be a controversial ranking. But even naysayers have to admit Jenna has a strong sense of personal style. And if this outfit isn’t classic Jenna Lyons, we don’t know what is.
The button-up with a skinny black tie and pearls reminds us of one of her confessional looks. But this shirt appears to be sheer, adding a touch of sexiness. The black blazer is classic and perfectly tailored. And we’re always in awe of her tomato-red lipstick.
We’re here for Jenna’s jeans, although we also get why it turned some people off. If Jenna paired the top half of her outfit with, say, some cool black leather pants, it would be a contender for best dressed.
1. Ubah Hassan
Now THIS is a classic Real Housewives reunion look! Ubah Hassan is far and away our pick for best dressed. Her gown is gorgeous and timeless, so she won’t be looking back and cringing, unlike some past RHONY reunion looks. We can’t wait to see more of the beading and fringe details in action.
Ubah accessorized perfectly with some stunning bling—we wonder if any pieces are from that major shopping spree she took with Erin before their falling out. Thanks to the glamorous shoes, the RHONY fan favorite truly looks amazing from head to toe. Most of her co-stars should be taking notes.
