One Housewife who has had fans buzzing this season is Ubah Hassan, the 40-year-old model turned businesswoman. Ubah’s likability, wisdom, and killer fashion sense have solidified her place in the franchise. I mean, what’s not to love?

Ubah has given new life to Real Housewives of New York City with her playful sense of humor. The businesswoman had fans laughing during a group dinner earlier this season when she decided to take a spontaneous trip to the restaurant’s kitchen. Ubah marched right in and asked to have a taste of whatever the chef was cooking.
The moment was totally hilarious and showed fans a different side of the RHONY newcomer. I think Sai de Silva described the moment perfectly when she said, “I’m amused. I’m embarrassed, but I’m also very much so amused.” Yeah, that’s how we felt too Sai.
She’s Inspirational
Ubah has had a successful career as a model but her career in fashion isn’t the Bravo star’s only source of income. She also has a successful hot sauce brand called Ubah Hot. According to the brand’s website, Ubah Hot “adds flavor and brings a sensational taste of Africa to your palate.” The hot sauce has become so popular that it earned a spot on Oprah Winfrey’s “Favorite Things” list in 2021.
Ubah spoke about the impact Oprah had on her business in an interview with Page Six in December 2021. “We sold out,” she told the outlet. “[For] a piece of my company’s success to come from [Oprah] is a blessing on earth for me. I can’t wait to give back like her.” Is there anything better than having Oprah’s stamp of approval? We honestly can’t think of anything.
Ubah’s hard work and determination could inspire viewers who may want to start a business or embark on a new venture.
She Speaks Her Mind
Ubah is fearless and stands up for what she believes in, even if her opinion is unpopular. Ubah shared her thoughts on the infamous vow renewal drama during a girls’ trip to Anguilla. The model validated Erin Lichy‘s feelings, making it clear she thought Brynn Whitfield‘s behavior at the party was inappropriate.
Ubah’s take on the situation was refreshing, especially since most of the other girls dismissed Erin’s feelings completely. We loved seeing Ubah take a stance and not fall victim to groupthink. Regardless of how you feel about the vow renewal drama, it was nice to see a different perspective enter the mix.
She Brings the Drama
A Real Housewife should know how to bring the drama and Ubah proved to be the perfect drama queen during a trip to Anguilla. Ubah’s co-star Erin decided she wanted to get back at her friend for stealing her sunglasses, so she hid Ubah’s phone. The response was explosive. Ubah spent the whole episode alternating between freezing Erin out or trying to get back at her. Who knew a silly prank could cause so much drama?
The fight was kind of ridiculous but entertaining nonetheless. We think Sai said it best, “Ubah is someone that you just don’t mess with. Once you make Ubah hot, there’s really no turning her off.” We see you with that hot sauce reference, Sai.

When the Real Housewives began, most the women in the franchise were married, but as time progressed, the franchise began including more single women. The new Real Housewives of New York cast features a few single women, one of whom is Ubah.
Fans have loved watching Ubah enjoy her single life. From flirting with Erin’s trainer to her candid conversations about wanting to find love, the Bravo star is the relatable single girl the franchise needs. We’re hoping we see more of Ubah’s dating life this season. Maybe we’ll get to see the Bravo star go on a date? She definitely has cool, single girl energy and we’re living for it.
