Married to Medicine is about to return and if you don’t watch it, you’re missing out. Bravo doesn’t do enough to promote this show and it’s a damn shame. If you think Real Housewives can get nuts, MTM says “Hold my Pinot…”
Dr. Heavenly Kimes joined in Season 2 but Quad Webb is an OG. Ahead of Season 10, there have been some cast changes and we’ll be seeing some new faces. Unfortunately for Quad, one of those faces is her ex-husband and he’s bringing along his new bride. Now the good dentist has some words for Quad, and as per usual, Heavenly is being a mess.
The wait is almost over!
It seems like an eternity since MTM was last running a season. For those not in the know, go ahead and binge-watch now. And yes, you do have to start from Season 1. Married to Medicine gives us real relationships. Very real arguments. And what we don’t see a lot of on other Bravo shows, resolution.
The cast does consist of mostly couples, which Quad was a part of before she got divorced. Her ex-husband left the show as fast as he left in his tiny Mini Cooper, but now Dr. G has returned and he’s brought a plus one.
According to Heavenly, Dr. Gregory Lunceford coming back and bringing his new lady saved Quad’s spot on the show. If you ask Heavenly, and I’m not sure anyone had to, but she’s saying if Dr. G hadn’t returned, Quad would be out.
Reports came out saying Quad wasn’t asked back for Season 10 until Dr. G and Mrs. Dr. G started sniffing around. Somehow their participation meant Quad was safe. Heavenly thinks Quad needs to be appreciating instead of hating the couple. I would so love to see Heavenly “appreciating” Dr. Daddy’s next wife.
Gone but not forgotten
Quad appeared on Heavenly’s YouTube channel and shared her thoughts about her ex and LaTeasha “Sweet Tea” Lunceford. The former Mrs. Lunceford felt highly disrespected when they joined and most of her content will be manuevering the dynamics of the group.
Quad expressed her dissatisfaction, stating that she should have had a chat with the couple before they were thrust into the spotlight on the show. Seemingly taken aback, Quad stated that she has been a mainstay of the program “since its inception” and saw herself as a fundamental component. Which, is fair. We all know how OGs feel about being there since day one.
The Newlyweds …
As for LaTeasha, she didn’t join until heavily encouraged by Quad’s good buddies Dr. Jackie Walters and Dr. Simone Whitmore. Fans also thought it was weird Heavenly was allegedly being disloyal to Quad. “What I said was I understand how she feels disrespected, I still do … but at the end of the day we all made choices, she made hers. Quad and this lady have no beef. She didn’t date him while they were married,” Heavenly shared.
Heavenly added, “That’s because you’re not thinking about this the right way. Having Tea on the show gave them a reason to keep Quad … I’m actually helping them both.” Oh Heavenly, don’t ever change.
Before anyone goes off on Quad and says she’s no longer “Married to Medicine,” allow me to remind you about 75% of Real Housewives are not “Housewives.”
Stay tuned, the drama train is coming when Married To Medicine Season 10 premieres November 5 at 9/8c, on Bravo.
