Perhaps the old adage applies here: “What’s sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander.” While Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards has been spending a lot of time with rumored flame Morgan Wade, her estranged husband Mauricio Umansky has been getting a little saucy himself.
While competing on Season 32 of Dancing with the Stars, Mauricio has been spending long hours training with his dance partner Emma Slater. But are the couple taking their relationship outside of the ballroom? Could be. On October 22, Mauricio and Emma were spotted leaving a Beverly Hills restaurant hand in hand.
They wouldn’t be the first DWTS partners to begin a romance on the dance floor. The same chemistry that gives them a spark on the dance floor can sometimes flame into a relationship in real life. TMZ has the details on this unexpected couple.
Deep conversation builds a connection
The upcoming theme of this week’s DWTS episode is “the most important year of your life.” Mauricio is reportedly looking back at 1996, the year he and Kyle married. It was also the year he began his real estate career, a choice that made him a multi-millionaire. Mauricio is the founder and CEO of The Agency, a global real estate firm that handles luxury properties worldwide. The Agency is the star of the Netflix series Buying Beverly Hills, which completed filming Season 2 in July 2023 but has yet to air.
Sources believe that Mauricio’s talking about his pivotal year may have deepened their connection, drawing the dance partners closer, which resulted in the affectionate hand-holding. While Mauricio is separated from his wife of 27 years, Emma filed for divorce from co-star Sasha Farber in February.
Kyle and Mauricio’s marriage has been under a microscope this year, especially since their separation. Even though Kyle insists she and Morgan are just close friends working on a documentary project together, there has also been speculation about a possible lesbian romance between the two. Confusing the issue, Kyle and Mauricio still vacationed together over the summer and celebrated various holidays with their four daughters.
Despite the closeness between Mo and Emma, I don’t think they’re actually a couple. Emma and Sasha broke up due to Emma’s desire to have children. I doubt Mauricio is interested in starting another family at this stage of his life. More likely they’re just attempting to stir up public interest to get more votes. Or they’re simply friends. Only time will tell.
