There are some battles that will never be understood—Custer’s Last Stand, Battle of Marathon, Waterloo, and The Giudice/Gorga feud. For years, even though it has felt like centuries, Real Housewives of New Jersey fans have watched each of the Bravo personalities manipulate the group of women around them in hopes of gaining allies. Both Melissa Gorga and Teresa Giudice had brokered peace deals only to double down shortly after.
Between a crazy christening, a Catskill catastrophe, and stripper gate, there is a lot that these two women would have to overcome ever to make peace. Can’t it be done? Doubtful. But if both mothers really make an effort to move forward, there could be a glimmer of hope, but here is what they would have to do to succeed.
Teresa Has To Apologize
In order for any progress to be made between Melissa and Teresa, an apology of immense proportions would have to be made by the Garden State OG. I assume we would see pigs flying before an apology escaped Teresa’s lips, but it could make a dent in the hatred towards one another. As RHONJ viewers know, Teresa has a serious problem admitting when she is wrong, and it has bitten her in the ass once or twice before. First thing first, Teresa would have to get rid of her extreme hubris.
Teresa’s many issues have come from her pride, the same pride that prevents her from saying she went to jail or that she took part in the fraud she committed with her husband. The mother of four still plays dumb to this day. To make amends, Teresa would first need to admit she was behind half of the rumors, including Melissa cheating on Joe Gorga. Admitting her wrongs would show a big turning point for Teresa and prove she is evolving into a better human.
Joe Gorga Has To Accept Who Teresa Is
Teresa’s little brother hasn’t been an angel in the situation. Joe has found himself in some sticky situations, especially after calling his older sister “scum.” Joe has often lost his temper in heated arguments, which has actually made the matter much worse. Obviously, Joe is entitled to his feelings, but he needs to work through the hate and learn to communicate better.
Only a week ago, Joe bashed his sister while performing his stand-up comedy retelling a dream he had about Teresa giving his eulogy. The father of three dramatically stated, “So she comes up, and she sits there, and she’s ready to do her eulogy, she goes, ‘That b**ch killed my brother. I should’ve known when she brought me sprinkle cookies instead of pignoli cookies.'” Joe’s funny throwback to an early fight isn’t going to help mend and burned bridges.
Kids Shouldn’t Be Apart of the Fight
Even though many of Teresa and Melissa’s children are legal adults, they really shouldn’t be inserting themselves into their parent’s drama. Gia Giudice and Milania Giudice have taken notes from their mother and quickly started attacking their uncle and aunt after Teresa became more and more upset.
Bravo cameras caught Gia talking back to her uncle, which many found unacceptable, with both sisters taking their trolling to social media. It is unclear whether or not the moms have urged their kids to stay quiet or become vocal, but it just doesn’t look good to see youngsters go after elders.
Melissa Can Step Up
Melissa can also make better decisions to move forward in her relationship with Teresa instead of adding to the drama by talking about her on her podcast. Melissa made a faux pas as she once stated she and Joe put “food on the table” for Teresa and her family, claiming the Skinny Italian author had no one else to film with. These little digs have not helped keep the line of communication open.
It is hard to kick the feelings that the Gorgas came onto to the Real Housewives of New Jersey for money and fame, but no one expected Teresa and Joe to lose their relationship. The limelight has melted away any love the siblings and in-laws once possessed, but with some hard work and elbow grease, maybe, just maybe, they can recover some form of a family unit.
