The secret is out. Ubah Hassan’s Mr. Connecticut has been identified. Now, Real Housewives of New York fans can recall the lengths that the Somali model took to keep her relationship under wraps. It was a dicey decision, given her participation in a reality TV show.
It all started at the end of the season when Ubah revealed to cast mates that she had an out-of-state lover. Well, she told Sai De Silva behind the scenes. And word spread from there. The model left Brynn Whitfield’s birthday party once she realized that the cast knew about “Mr. Connecticut.”
Now, there’s a name and face to put to the moniker. And the best news is the adorable couple is still going strong.
A source described the couple’s interaction at the RHONY Season 14 premiere party
The Daily Mail exclusively revealed who Ubah’s mystery man is. The German born investment banker is Oliver Dachsel. He’s the managing director at a New York City based financial entity.
Before that, Oliver served in the German Federal Armed Forces. State-side, he went to Columbia Business School then worked in banking for a decade.
The couple were spotted together at the Season 14 premeire party. Bravo executive Andy Cohen got to meet the dashing German, as well as Sai and Erin Lichy.
Daily Mail reported, as per the comments of a close source, that Ubah and Oliver were “inseperable” at the July 2023 event.
“I assumed he was her husband because I didn’t know at the time that she was pretending to be single on the show,” the source added.
The couple seemed official at that point. Ubah was certainly not hiding her affections.
“They were together the whole night. It wasn’t like they were making out, but they never left each other’s side, they were very giggly and she seemed excited to be introducing him to people,” the insider continued.
But Oliver and Ubah did take lengths to protect their privacy. A private photographer took their photos at the event to ensure there weren’t any leaks.
‘She was clearly very happy. Obviously it was a private party, but I felt like she was comfortable having him there,” it was observed.
At the time of the reunion, the couple were still going strong. And they attended the American Ballet Theater Fall Gala together this past weekend.
