Prepare your liver and bust out your snow gear because Season 3 of Winter House has arrived, and the premiere came in hot. For Season 3, the show got a little bit of a soft reboot: there are new faces, a new location, and a whole lot of opportunities for drunken debauchery.

This writer is old enough to remember when Winter House was tentatively titled Summer House: Winter Charm. At the time, its goal was to bring together personalities from Summer House and Southern Charm. Thank goodness, two years ago, someone at Bravo had the brilliant idea of simplifying the name to Winter House because the Southern Charm boys are nowhere to be found this time around. Instead, Bravo has plopped together a hodgepodge of random people from across the Bravo-verse, setting the stage for their messiest mashup yet. Here’s what went down in the Season 3 premiere of Winter House.

The episode begins with a warm introduction to Steamboat Springs, Colorado. After spending two seasons in the same house in Stowe, Vermont, we’ve gone west! While Steamboat Springs has all of the same snowy offerings as Stowe, this new house seems like a major upgrade. There’s plenty of space for all of the random people Bravo is about to bring through the doors.

How do these people even know each other?

On paper, this seems like the most random assortment of Bravolebrities ever, but as they trickled into the Winter House, they explained the connective tissue between them.

The first Bravolebs we see headed to the Winter House are Kory Keefer and Kyle Cooke. On their way to the house, they called Malia White and Katie Flood from Below Deck Mediterranean. Kyle explained that he met Malia sometime in New York City. Is he talking about BravoCon? Probably.

The yachties knew Kyle but not Kory. However, just based on their phone call, Malia and Katie can tell that Kory is hot, so they’re eager to get to the house and see what’s up. Another duo of ladies excited to get their vacation started is Summer House star Danielle Olivera and her friend, Casey Craig. Casey is new to Bravo but fulfilling the tried and true Winter House trope of “blonde cryptocurrency girlie.” There’s always at least one, but this one has a purpose. She’s there to support Danielle, who is working through her breakup with Robert Sieber.

Danielle feels like an anchor of the cast this season, and she explained that for this vacation, she wants to be surrounded by girls who are going to help lift her out of the breakup funk and into the arms of a better man. To round out her clique, Danielle invited her pal Jordan Emanuel from Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard.

At the time of filming Winter House, Jordan hadn’t made her Bravo debut. Summer House Martha’s Vineyard premiered months later, but Jordan didn’t seem intimidated at all by getting thrown into this house. She’s just as ready as the rest of them.

Rounding out the house for the first night is Brian Benni from Family Karma and Below Deck Sailing Yacht alum Alex Propson. Again It seemed random, especially since Family Karma was quietly canceled. However, it’s briefly mentioned that Kyle and Brian are friends. It’s also explained that Alex and Brian are pals, and they even live right next to each other! What a small world. They both entered Winter House with flirtatious intentions but dramatically different goals. Brian wants to meet the girl of his dreams, whereas Alex made it clear that he started his vacation single and intends to finish it that way, too.

(Almost) everyone is (kind of) single in the Winter House Season 3 premiere

During the group’s first dinner, they all went around and shared their relationship statuses. Kyle is the only one with a ring on his finger. Everyone else is single, or at least, somewhat single.

When it was time for Kory to share his relationship status, he got a little dodgy. He explained that his fling on Summer House with Samantha Feher left him in a gray area. At that point, they hadn’t put a label on their relationship but were still close enough that she was texting him during filming.

A guy like Kory living in that type of relationship gray area is a heartbreak waiting to happen. We know Kory likes to flirt, and with all of these single ladies around, Sam probably shouldn’t even watch this show.

In the shadow of Scandoval

The entire Winter House cast didn’t fully arrive in the premiere. We’re still waiting for Amanda Batula to come join the fun, and Vanderpump Rules star Tom Schwartz is also on the guest list. When Kyle shared that Schwartz was coming to the house, the energy in the room changed right away.

Apparently, this is all taking place just a week after the Scandoval news broke the internet. We learn that Tom Sandoval was supposed to come on the trip but seemingly lost his invite after being implicated in 2023’s biggest cheating scandal. Although Schwartz is a totally different Tom, the housemates all share concerns about Schwartz bringing negative energy from Scandoval into the house. The only person not concerned about that was Katie because she claimed to have no idea who the Toms even were. Good for her.

Two curves, one night

The first night in the Winter House started just like you’d expect — with copious amounts of booze and plenty of Loverboy product placement. On this show, copious amounts of booze are almost always followed by flirting and hot tub action — except for Casey who passed out before 11 p.m.

Brian and Alex talked a big game, but when the drinks started flowing and it was time to put their words into action, the results were laughable.

Alex set his sights on Jordan pretty quickly, and she was into him too. They headed to the hot tub for some private time, but it didn’t go the way Alex had hoped. He slowly started working his way towards Jordan, trying to make an advance. As soon as he got within breath-smelling distance, she turned her face away and completely rejected him. It was painfully awkward, and that was the end of the night for Alex. Not the best Winter House Season 3 premiere for the yachtie!

Later, Brian tried to pull a similar move on Jordan. As the party was winding down, Brian went to say goodnight to Jordan and randomly tried to kiss her. It was so unattractive, but Jordan perfectly dodged that kiss too. At this rate, she’s going to need a flyswatter to keep these boys off her.

The morning after

You can tell a lot about the Winter House cast based on how they resurrect themselves after a wild night of partying. Malia was the first one up, fresh as a daisy. She cleaned the kitchen. She made pulled pork and egg sandwiches for breakfast. Every party needs a Malia, or maybe just a type-A yachtie.

Meanwhile, Alex woke up feeling anxious about the night before. He said he didn’t remember what happened, which is fortunate considering his embarrassing attempt at trying to kiss Jordan.

The gang eventually rallied together, and they embarked on their first snowy outing of the season: tubing! It looked like a ton of fun, and the cast seemed to be warming up to each other. Next week when Schwartz arrives with all of his baggage, we’ll see if he brings a dark cloud over the otherwise positive vibes of Season 3. Either way, winter is just getting started.

Winter House airs on Bravo, Tuesday nights at 9/8c.
