Vanderpump Rules became a hit reality TV show, in part, from the dynamic friendships within the cast – though Jax and Stassi may have you believe it was because of them. The fights, the sloppy hookups, and the drama is all there. But ultimately, they seem to be able to support each other during life’s more challenging moments.
And it’s still the case, even with some of the alums that are feuding behind the scenes. Case in point, Stassi Schroeder has cut ties with Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor after the couple skipped her wedding in Rome, Italy. The trio still haven’t spoken since May 2022, yet managed to come together recently in support of Lala Kent’s sobriety.
Lala wanted Jax and Stassi “to feel comfortable”
Lala credited her friends maturity during an Amazon Live stream Tuesday, October 24. The Vanderpump Rules cast assembled at a Chili’s on October 22, where the Give Them Lala Beauty founder celebrated five years of sobriety. Pictures emerged including Jax, Brittany, and Stassi in close quarters to honor their mutual friend.
A fan asked Lala during the livestream if the encounter was “awkward” at all. Lala was touched that her friends could put their differences aside and all attended the event.
“I was in my own zone of just thinking, ‘My gosh, I can’t believe I’ve been sober for five years,’” Lala answered. “And I was so grateful.”
“I won’t say that I didn’t think about it. I’m always thinking about people feeling comfortable,” she continued. “My five-year sobriety birthday is not an episode of Vanderpump Rules. “I want everyone to feel comfortable. There’s no content here.”
Lala acknowledged the rift between Stassi, Jax, and Brittany and shared her appreciation for their presence.
“It was crazy to see people come to support me even though they may have felt uncomfortable around certain people,” she added. “And that’s how I know that I have a very beautiful and incredible friend group. Like, I thought that was just amazing for everybody to be like, ‘Don’t care, we are going to support her.”
