Everyone is buzzing about the possible romance between Dancing with the Stars competitor Mauricio Umansky and his pro partner, Emma Slater. Even DWTS alum Nick Viall floated his theory that the couple is faking a romance to get votes. Mauricio is still on the show, and it isn’t because of his sweet dance moves. Trust me.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards was upset about reports that Mauricio and Emma were holding hands. She even deleted an Instagram post asking for people to vote for Mauricio. While the couple is separated, reportedly at Kyle’s request, emotions are running high. And the contemporary dance that Mauricio dedicated to his wife was sensual and intimate. As in, maybe you two should get a room.
Nick Viall knows all
Nick’s co-hosts on his The Viall Files asked Nick if there was “any reason” for DWTS pairs to be extra friendly outside of the ballroom. Nick had quite the response.
“For votes. [On] Dancing With the Stars, they love a good couple romance type of thing, you know? And some people play it up [while] some of it is real,” Nick stated. “People have gotten married [to their] pro partners in the past. Some people just fake relationships.”
Nick danced with Peta Murgatroyd during Season 24 of DWTS. He was engaged at the time to his ex, Vanessa Grimaldi. Emma and Mauricio haven’t addressed the subject of their affectionate gesture. But Nick said that he “could see it being real.”
But Nick harbors no illusions about another couple on DWTS. “I mean, Harry [Jowsey], who’s also on Dancing With the Stars? He’s dancing with Rylee [Arnold] and that’s the fakest of the fake relationships, for sure,” Nick explained.
“I mean, Harry is — if nothing else — an internet pro and fairly disingenuous when it comes to his relationships. He’ll do anything for a click. Seems like a nice guy, but … well, he’ll do anything for a vote. He remarkably gets away with a lot,” Nick added. Bitter – party of one.
For the record, Rylee and Harry haven’t addressed their relationship status. Only time will tell if Emma and Mauricio are really dating or just mining for votes.
