An apology from Taylor Ann Green isn’t something that everybody would get. But it’s time to stop explaining and start apologizing. Taylor did a poor job justifiying her hook up with Austen Kroll the unsympathetic audience that is her Southern Charm co-stars. Most importantly, to Olivia Flowers, who was romantically linked to Austen before he pursued Taylor.
After denying that anything happened when Olivia asked her point-blank, Taylor had to backtrack after Austen spilled the beans to her ex-boyfriend Shep Rose. Needless to say, Olivia did not receive the news well and questioned why Taylor would be protecting Austen and following his suggestion to keep the whole thing hush. Why wouldn’t Taylor prioritize the friendship with Olivia?
In the midst of Season 9, Taylor is left with the gargantuan task of apologizing to Olivia and making amends. And who better to turn to for advice than Shep?
Taylor admitted that she “breached trust”
Entertainment Tonight got an exclusive sneak peek of the upcoming episode in which the exes take a walk together on the beach with their pets. Shep proceeds to advise his ex-girlfriend on how to proceed with Olivia.
“Some people would say it’s unfair, what I want, which is to have a nice relationship with Taylor, not romantic,” Shep said during the clip. “But I’m inexperienced in this territory. This is uncharted waters.”
Shep and Olivia deepened their friendship this season from the betrayal of their exes. They also just banter really well together. It’s the connection Southern Charm fans never knew they needed. And in the wake of the tragic passing of Olivia’s brother, Shep graciously offered his house to her family.
In this sneak peak, Shep was with Olivia and her family before meeting Taylor for the walk.
“Now you need to figure out what the next move with Olivia is, and how you want your relationship to look,” Shep advised.
“Yeah, I mean, I breached trust with a friend, and a very good friend,” Taylor admitted.
“I would just say, ‘I’m sorry. I should’ve told you, immediately. It’ll never, ever happen again. If you’ll have me, I’d like to stay around and be your friend,'” Shep stated.
Taylor praised her ex-boyfriend. “It’s good advice,” she said.
Now to see if it works. Though, from the statements Olivia has made in real time, it seems the friendship is still not what it once was. As for Shep, he’s off the hook for the behavior that angered Taylor so much before her hook up with Austen became public news.
