Season 32 of Dancing with the Stars is proving to be difficult for Harry Jowsey and his newbie professional DWTS partner, Rylee Arnold. The couple has been linked romantically. But we don’t know if this is just a showmance or real love. Many relationships blossomed in the ballroom.
Meanwhile, Rylee, who is DWTS alum Lindsay Arnold’s sister, came under fire for allegedly copying choreography. Some moves from her sister’s 2019 routine, both set to the same song, looked familiar. Still, Rylee and Harry’s Disney Week quickstep garnered the couple their highest score yet.
But the couple didn’t impress on the Most Memorable Year night. They performed a contemporary dance to Keep Your Head Up by Andy Grammer. They scored 18 out of 30 points, which landed them at the bottom of the leaderboard. The dancing duo wasn’t eliminated since half of the total score is from fan votes.
Harry comes to Rylee’s DWTS defense
After receiving negative messages on social media, Harry shared a message on his Instagram Story. A fan account on TikTok shared the video. “I just want to say: Today has been extremely difficult. Poor Rylee is really upset. I’m really upset,” Harry said. “I think we’re both equally devastated and upset about last night, ’cause it wasn’t our night, wasn’t our best dance.”
He continued, “I just want to say a couple things: If you don’t have anything nice to say, please don’t say it. This is Rylee’s first season, I’ve never danced before. We’re learning, we’re figuring it out,” Harry explained. “That’s the point of this show — to have someone who’s never danced before, put ‘em on the world stage, and tell them to try and figure it out.”
He added, “I love spending time with Rylee. She’s an incredible person, she’s an incredible woman, and it’s been such a joy to be with her.” It sounds like these two have a close friendship.
“Anyway, I’m dragging this on, but if you see a nasty comment, just tell them to keep it to themselves. It’s just not very nice to read,” Harry stated. “It was just really difficult for both of us.”
