Kristen Doute is hoping to join the ranks of her former Vanderpump Rules co-stars Lala Kent, Stassi Schroeder, and Scheana Shay, in having a baby. These ladies, including Brittany Cartwright, all had children around the same time, and enjoy socializing together as mothers. Now, it’s Kristen’s turn to start planning for her future as a mother.
The Vanderpump Rules alum met her current boyfriend, Luke Broderick, in June 2022 at a mutual friend’s wedding. Both Luke and Kristen were in the bridal party, and a romance quickly took off. However, they did not go public as a couple until December 2022.
And after a solid year together, the duo are planning to start a family.
Kristen Doute spoke to her OB-GYN, and a psychic, about the baby
On October 26, the couple discussed their decision on the Sex, Love and What Else Matters podcast that they co-host.
“A couple of months ago, Luke and I talked about the fact that we are in a very committed relationship, I did go to my OBGYN and we got all good news on that front,” the James Mae clothing line founder said. “So whenever we are ready to start trying, so far it looks good.”
Kristen got the all-clear from her doctor to start trying. Now, it’s just a waiting game to see if further intervention is needed. The reality TV star hasn’t frozen her eggs.
She continued, “When we had that appointment in August with my doctor, he essentially said that everything looked good and when we were ready to start trying to just give it a few months because of my age. Obviously, I think a lot of people know that a geriatric pregnancy is actually over 35 and I am now 40. He recommended that as someone who has not frozen their eggs or done anything for us to give it a real fair shot during our ovulation time.”
”If nothing happens in up to three or four months — normally he would give someone a year — but because of my age he wanted a conversation before then. We are still good right now. No stress, no worries,” Kristen added.
Certainly, eliminating stress is beneficial for fertility. Kristen also stopped vaping. But there is one unusual step she took at the start of her fertility journey. The reality TV star went to a psychic.
“My psychic [told me last year] that I had a boy waiting on the other side for me but that I was not going to get pregnant when I was 40. It was going to be somewhere between 41 and 42,” Kristen told her listeners. “That’s when we truthfully started talking about our plans to try, I decided not to put pressure on myself because I believe my psychic. I am not going to worry about having a baby in 2023.”
So, Kristen has her timeline in mind. What actually ends up happening remains to be seen.
