Friendships and relationships usually don’t escape turmoil and drama on The Real Housewives of New Jersey. But, one relationship that has avoided the normal chaotic Jersey treatment is that of Dolores Catania and Frank Catania. The two definitely have a very unique ex-husband/ex-wife relationship. They were only married from 1994-1998, but have since remained great friends, co-parents, and RHONJ co-stars.
Dolores is now in a serious relationship with Paul Connell, and Frank is very newly-engaged to his girlfriend of four years, Brittany Mattessich. It looks like the healthy familial relationship between everyone won’t be changing, because Dolores was so excited for Brittany and Frank that she made her own congratulatory post after their announcement.
Dolores “couldn’t be happier” for Frank and Brittany
Dolores wasted no time sending Frank and Brittany warm wishes and complimenting Brittany’s huge rock. She captioned her post, “I couldn’t be happier for these two lovebirds. Congrats on the engagement!”
Further adding, “All u need is love and that ring “wow” [ring emoji, starry-eyed emoji, heart emoji] I couldn’t be happier for these two lovebirds. Congrats on the engagement! @missbrittyann It’s so nice to officially welcome you to the family [heart-face emoji] Wishing u a lifetime of love, health and happiness @frank.catania.sr happy wife happy life #happiness #engagement #wedding.”
Frank and Brittany both seemed very appreciative of the support. Frank replied, “Thank you so much Dolores and I can not thank you enough for always keeping our family together.”
Brittany added, “❤️❤️Thankyou [sic] for always making me feel like part of the family❤️❤️❤️❤️ love yousss❤️❤️❤️.”
Even though last season we saw Paul being a little skeptical of Frank, he chimed in on Dolores’ post as well, commenting, “@dolorescatania That’s why you are loved, always and forever Forever happiness to @missbrittyann & @frank.catania.sr ❤️”
Maybe Dolores and Paulie will be next! It’s refreshing to see some warmth and wholesomeness in the ice-cold, volatile land of Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga.
Season 14 of RHONJ will likely premiere in the first half of 2024.
