We’ve all taken some time to digest the highly-teased Vanity Fair report on the Real Housewives franchise. They covered a lot of ground, but for some of us, the biggest takeaway was that Real Housewives of New York City alum Eboni K. Williams is not a fan of Bethenny Frankel.
Before Eboni spoke to the outlet, Bethenny tried to recruit her into the “reality reckoning” by having her on her podcast to discuss her negative experience with Bravo. Eboni wasn’t interested. Bethenny might be the face of this reality TV movement, but Eboni made it clear when talking to the outlet that B’s support isn’t something she needs or wants. She told the outlet, “F*ck Bethenny Frankel.”
When Bethenny found out about Eboni’s on-the-record diss, she started scrambling for a way to clap back and took to her Instagram Stories to throw shade. Those shady Instagram Stories might expire after 24 hours, but our screenshots will last a lifetime.
Eboni vs. Bethenny
Bethenny tried to respond to Eboni’s comments in the Vanity Fair piece by posting a screenshot of a message she received from Eboni all the way back in 2020.
“In response to @ebonikwilliams telling me to F**K off…,” Bethenny said in her Instagram stories, before sharing an Instagram DM She received from Eboni all the way back in 2020.
“We met on a private flight from palm beach to nyc a couple of years ago,” Eboni wrote at the time. “Just thanking you for consistently using your platform for tangible change.”
Two years later, Bethenny responded to Eboni and said, “Wow. I never saw this. Thanks and I’m sorry so late.”
Perhaps in Bethenny’s mind, this was some sort of “gotcha” moment for Eboni. However, Eboni quickly went back through her Instagram DMs and gave Bethenny a taste of her own medicine.
Eboni shared a screenshot of her direct messages with B, which revealed a note from just days ago where she asked, “Do you have a minute?”
Eboni left her on a read and doesn’t have any plans to change that. On her Instagram story, Eboni replied, “@bethennyfrankel tried it… Pulling out a receipt from 3 years ago back when you focused on philanthropy instead of thirst trapping on other people’s hardships.”
Eboni capped off her response to Bethenny by adding “#GotoSleep #StillOnRead.”
Sorry, B, but Eboni wins this round. Lesson learned: don’t start petty beef with RHONY’s only Black alum, who also happens to be a lawyer.
