Mauricio Umansky Under Fire From Former ABC Exec Over Nightmare Tenants

New details have emerged on the most recent lawsuit against Mauricio Umansky. As if the hunk didn’t have enough drama on his hands between Dancing with the Stars and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills! Now, he’s facing chargers from a former ABC executive.

As previously reported, Mauricio’s company UMRO Realty Corp was sued after recommending “tenants from hell,” to a homeowner who rented out their property. UMRO reportedly knew the tenants had a bad track record but recommended them anyway.

The tenants went on to cause over $1 million worth of damages to the home’s property, furniture, clothes, and garden. Now, RadarOnline has reported new details surrounding the incident, including the identity of the mystery homeowner.

Mauricio’s company’s tenants destroyed an ABC Emmy

The owner of the $12 million home was none other than Stephen McPherson. He’s the Emmy-winning president of ABC from 2004 to 2010. Speaking of Emmys, Stephen detailed that one of his had been decapitated by the “tenants from hell.” He said in an interview, “There were a lot of things, like the Emmy and other … family things that were destroyed or stolen completely.”

He went on to say, “The sad thing about all this is that the tenants themselves were never brought to justice and it’s really horrific and unfortunate.” As for UMRO’s endorsement of the tenants, Stephen commented, “All I know is that in (UMRO’s) recommendation they said that they had worked with them for years and that they were vouching for them. You tell me what that means.”

He also revealed that it took six months to “finally [get] an eviction with the (L.A. County) Sheriff.” McPherson also alleged that the pair of tenants were “con” artists in cahoots with UMRO. “I think The Agency [has] so many lawsuits against them … [it’s] crazy that they are still doing business regularly around town.”

Dancing with the Stars continues Tuesdays on ABC and Disney+. Meanwhile, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs Wednesday nights on Bravo.
