Southern Charm stars Olivia Flowers and Taylor Ann Green used to be the best of friends. But all that changed when rumors surfaced of Taylor’s hookup with Olivia’s ex Austen Kroll.
When Olivia initially confronted her friend about the rumors, Taylor lied to her face (twice) and swore “on her life” that it never happened. But the truth eventually came out, and their previously close relationship will never be the same. How can you trust someone who does something like that and then lies to you about it?
“It’s a bit of a roller coaster,” Olivia told E! News. “My goal is for us to be OK as friends. I didn’t want it to be this ‘Olivia versus Taylor’ thing at all. I really was still trying to get our friendship back on track, and you’ll see that throughout the season. But it’s up and down.”

Does Olivia see a reconciliation with her former bestie in the future? They were so close when they were dating BFFs Austen (Olivia) and Shep Rose (Taylor). But you can’t put the genie back in the bottle.
“I don’t think [our friendship] is ever going to be what it was honestly,” said the former actress. “I’m catching things now while I watch the episode that everyone else is catching, and I’m learning more just like everyone else. It’s definitely changed some things, and I don’t think we’ll ever be what we were. I don’t really care to be either.”
Even though Taylor apologized for crossing that boundary with Austen, Olivia can’t seem to move past it, especially watching the way things played out on the series. She’s seeing things she didn’t notice before. Olivia’s questioning conversations she had with Taylor that seemed genuine at the time.
“[Taylor] seemed very apologetic and genuine,” Olivia revealed, “so to see that she’s having conversations with other people that sing a different tune … It’s eye-opening, and it definitely had an impact on where we are now.”
As for Austen, while he was there for Olivia following the sudden death of her brother Connor, their reconciliation didn’t last.
“You see us the rest of the season [trying] to put our friendship back together,” she shared, “and then that deteriorates. It just gets complicated and tricky. We were right back at our same bullsh*t and stuff shortly after.”
