We are so close to the start of The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 8! Last season left us with more questions than answers when it came to Robyn Dixon and Juan Dixon’s marriage. The two ended the season by getting married for the second time. We all looked on in horror as she seemed to sleep on the fact that Juan was caught with other women everywhere from Canada, to a laundromat, to a nail salon.
Many of us wanted to yell “GIRL WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!” through the screen hoping Robyn would hear us. Luckily, Karen Huger seems to have us covered. She said she didn’t want to let Robyn cruise through another season without owning up to the mess she’s been mostly quiet about.
The Grande Dame won’t be letting Robyn slide through this season
Karen told PRIDE that she was tired of Robyn staying mum and shielding the ugly parts of her and Juan’s marriage from the cameras, so she made it her job to get Robyn to start opening up and owning the mess.
“I’m definitely holding Robyn accountable. Robyn likes to hear herself talk and she’s making no sense. Just own it! Just be honest. Don’t be mad with me if I don’t believe your version of the truth.”
Karen also addressed Robyn’s lack of initiative to talk about it at the Season 7 reunion. Robyn said she didn’t bring it up there because she figured Karen would at some point. Karen obviously didn’t appreciate this.
“Do not be calling my name on Andy Cohen’s show. What? I got my own 27-year-old marriage I have to work on and maintain. Outside of that, I’m cool with Robyn. I’m actually cool with everybody. It is what it is.”
Karen and Mia Thornton might also have a conflict
Karen’s cool with everyone this upcoming season … except maybe Mia Thornton, that is. Karen brought Mia to the show, but it looks like they might come to blows. Whether or not it has to do with Mia stepping off of Gordon Thornton’s dried up gravy train remains to be seen. Karen had some classic Grande Dame digs for her.
“Let’s be clear. My girl Mia … I introduced her to the group. She owes me nothing. Mia’s the kind of girl you hate to love. She’s a sweetheart, but she doesn’t remember what she says from one minute to the other, so I just have to wait and see what she does. I’ll hold her accountable. I can’t take her seriously. I wish her well.”
It’s looking like we’re in for a lot of shadiness and shenanigans this season, just like we’ve come to love from this group.
