Welp, this is the news we didn’t want to hear. Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Morocco was supposed to be a big deal. Bravo stars from the past were reappearing in an exotic land to have fun and frolic in an enchanting atmosphere.
But the fun and frolicking turned dark when an incident occurred between Caroline Manzo and Brandi Glanville. Both Brandi and Caroline share a different POV of the situation, but an internal investigation was launched within Shed Media. It was closed without any major developments and RHUGT Morocco was scheduled to air. Now Bravo’s big bad week gets worse because Morocco might be tabled. Page Six has the details.
No go for RHUGT Morocco?
Several insiders are stepping up to reveal Bravo may or may not pull Peacock’s RHUGT after Caroline accused Brandi of sexual assault. For context, during production of the show, filming was going down at a party the cast was attending.
The alcohol was flowing and so were the good vibes, until Brandi allegedly pulled Caroline into a bathroom and locked the door. There were no cameras but other ladies were in the room. ALLEGEDLY Brandi groped Caroline in her private areas without consent.
Production moved Brandi to a hotel for the night and she was ultimately sent home the next day. Caroline left and returned to New Jersey immediately after the disturbance.
In August it was revealed both Bravo and Peacock decided to swap out the viewing schedules for RHONY Legacy and RHUGT Morocco. Originally we were getting Morocco in December of this year until Legacy was placed in the December slot. At that time people began to speculate something was wrong in the Bravoverse. And they might have been right.
What? Legacy is in trouble too?
Sources are saying Morocco may go away completely. Just like the original Real Housewives of New York. Oh and fun fact, both were produced by Shed Media. If all of this isn’t enough to take the shine out of Bravo’s day, RHONY Legacy might be in trouble too. Thanks, Ramona Singer!
“Ultimate Girls Trip’ Morocco is probably never going to air, and now they are thinking about tabling ‘[RHONY] Legacy’ also,” the insider shared. Which sucks because some of us were ready for the return of Alex McCord.
Sounds like NBC is big mad, and rightly so. “NBC is really pissed off because they feel like Bravo let [production company] Shed ruin multiple shows, ‘RHONY’ obviously [being one],” they continued. That said, earlier it was reported RHONY Legacy is still on schedule and ready to go, despite the exposure of Ramona’s racially insensitive text.
According to another source, Leah McSweeney’s impending lawsuit following her discrimination complaint AND a sexual assault case filed against Bravo by the RHUGT butler are causing a big fat mess.
Obviously, executives are concerned over the fate of RHONY Legacy after protecting Ramona for so long she went fully rogue. The Legacy trailer is expected to premiere at BravoCon but “no decisions have been made.” The insider added it “will be an enormous elephant in the room.”
With that, have fun at BravoCon! An official decision regarding RHUGT Morocco has yet to be made and Brandi denies all wrongdoing. Stay tuned.
