The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Dorit Kemsley is not giving up on her marriage to Paul “PK” Kemsley despite rumors and ongoing speculation.
She spoke to US Weekly at BravoCon on Saturday to shed more light on her current marital situation. “You know, PK and I put out a statement right away to debunk the rumors so that people wouldn’t take it another level,” Dorit, 47, explained. “It’s not true. We’re not separated, and we’re not divorcing.”
Squashing the rumors
Rumors began circulating again recently that Dorit and her husband PK, 56, were “living separate lives” after eight years of marriage. Quickly after the news broke, the pair released a joint statement to refute the rumors.
They’ve also been shown in the current season of RHOBH as working past Dorit’s PTSD from her home invasion and robbery in 2021. As far as the new season goes, they’re still living life together. Dorit even shared their fun Alice in Wonderland family Halloween costumes, where she dressed as the Queen of Hearts and PK dressed as the Mad Hatter.
“We’ve been very open and honest this season, talking about the challenges over the last couple of years, Dorit added. “And they have been difficult. But I’ve also gone through a lot of challenging things personally. So, you know, that’s where we are. But I think we’re definitely good.”
She added that moving forward, she and PK will “be good.” “We’re both hopeful,” Dorit stressed. “And you know, everything is fine. We’re working on the marriage.”
It’s nice to hear they are working it out, but it does seem rather suspicious just how often Dorit felt the need to keep reiterating that everything was fine. Usually, when you do that, the person you are actually trying to convince is yourself.
Working on their marriage
Dorit met PK in 2011, and the pair tied the knot four years later. They share two children, Jagger, eight, and Phoenix, seven, along with PK’s older children from a previous relationship.
While Dorit reiterates that they are working on their marriage, several sources continue to indicate that the couple is in couple counseling and has been living apart.
Several of Dorit’s RHOBH costars were also surprised by split rumors, especially on the heels of Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky’s separation rumors.
Garcelle Beauvais chimed in on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, saying: “I know Dorit, that if it’s true, she will be devastated. It’s hard.”
