Olivia Flowers doesn’t know if she’ll ever again be able to fully trust her former BFF Taylor Ann Green. Viewers of Southern Charm Season 9 know that Taylor kissed Olivia’s ex boyfriend Austen Kroll and then lied about it. Can their friendship ever recover from all that drama?
“I don’t know,” Olivia shared. “This BravoCon, I’m not talking to Taylor and Madison [LeCroy] is my good friend, so … weirder things have happened.”
Olivia discussed the on-going situation between her and Taylor with Us Weekly at BravoCon on Friday, November 3.
What people say when you’re not there
When Olivia started dating Austen, Taylor was then dating Austen’s best friend Shep Rose. Taylor dated Shep for two years, before their July 2022 breakup. Olivia and Austen called it quits after just a few months.
Heartbroken over Shep, Taylor started hanging out with Austen. Just prior to filming Season 9, rumors started circulating that Taylor and Austen had allegedly “hooked up.”
At first, both Taylor and Austen denied anything ever happened. Taylor even swore “on my life” to Olivia that there was no truth to the rumors. However, she later admitted that she and Austen had “discussed” dating each other. Austen also told Shep that he and Taylor had kissed, though he swore it went no further.
The two friends briefly reunited following the sudden death of Olivia’s brother – Taylor lost her own brother in June – but watching events play out on Season 9 changed Olivia’s relationships with both Taylor and Austen. She “learned a lot” from seeing what other people say about her when she’s not present. Olivia no longer trusts her former best friend.
When Olivia heard that Taylor admitted their friendship isn’t “100 percent” right now, she responded, “That’s the first accurate thing she’s said in a very long time.”
To his credit, Austen does feel guilty that he’s the one who caused the rift. It “upsets” him to think about how “inseparable” Taylor and Olivia were between filming seasons 8 and 9. “They were besties, man. They were like me and Craig [Conover].”
