When hundreds of Bravolebrities assemble for BravoCon, sometimes the buzz becomes less about who is there and more about who isn’t there. For the Real Housewives of New York City cast, there was a major face missing from the panel, and that was Jenna Lyons.
When the lineup dropped and fans realized that Jenna wasn’t there, it raised a lot of eyebrows. Does she think she’s too good to rub shoulders with the fans? Or, perhaps it’s another sign that her RHONY run has come to an end.
In an attempt to end the speculation, Entertainment Tonight went straight to the source. Jenna explained what kept her from Bravo’s biggest weekend, but now we have more questions than ever.
An unexcused absence
“I had some things to do,” Jenna told the outlet regarding her BravoCon absence. “I [had] some really important things to do, like twiddle my thumbs.”
Jenna continued, “No, I had an event and I had some other things that I had to do that were personal. And I’m preparing for – I have to leave tonight, I have to be on a flight so I just couldn’t. It didn’t work out.”
So, she couldn’t even make it for one of the three days? Based on this sloppy excuse, it sounds like Jenna might be under the impression that she’s the only person in the world with a busy calendar. However, doctors, lawyers, yacht captains, parents, and all sorts of other busy Bravolebs were somehow able to adjust their schedules to attend BravoCon. Jenna just couldn’t make it happen. Not buying it.
With so much speculation surrounding Jenna’s future on RHONY, the outlet also asked Andy Cohen for his take on Jenna’s absence. He didn’t seem too phased by Jenna skipping the event and tried to reassure fans that her future with the show is still up in the air.
“Her not being a BravoCon is not any great statement on her relationship to the show or with us,” Cohen shared. “We have a great relationship and I hope she comes back. You know, I hope she comes back.”
