It seems like Real Housewives of New Jersey star Jennifer Aydin has a visceral response to BravoCon. Last year she launched a drink at Joe Gorga and this year she decided to insult an RHONJ viewer.
And before Jennifer’s fans get all upset, on the bright side, she now has something more in common with her best friend forever, Teresa Giudice. Much like Tre, when the chips are down, they go for the low blows. In Sin City, Jennifer did just that. Again. Page Six has the details.
Body-shaming at BravoCon?
Las Vegas was the site of BravoCon 2023 and oh what a time they had … There was a lot of speculation on how the RHONJ cast would act when Tre and Melissa Gorga were forced to be in the same room, but it turns out Tre and Mel weren’t the problem. Enter, Tre’s best soldier, Jen.
During a panel that featured both Jennifer and Teresa, questions were taken from the audience. Here’s what, if we as the viewing audience don’t expect the cast to act like upstanding members of society, we also cannot expect elegance and decorum from BravoCon attendees. That said, a RHONJ viewer had a question that Andy Cohen would certainly never ask.
A woman inquired directly to Jen, “Do you think you could crawl any further up Teresa Giudice’s ass?” Was it a nice question, no. Was it a fair question, yes. It’s also safe to say Jen didn’t appreciate the effort.
“First of all, let me enlighten you,” Jennifer began. Hold up, allow me to enlighten the readers. If you think Jen sucks up to Teresa on camera, you should see her Instagram. Thank goodness for photos of Jen’s husband and kids, otherwise, it would be a Teresa shrine.
Jen should have quit while she was ahead
“Sorry you don’t have any good friends, but good friends support each other all the time and she supports me too,” an irate Jen continued. The person who initiated the verbal disruption was, let’s say, dressed for comfort. She wore a big sweatshirt and a baseball cap, you know like regular people.
Jen began yelling, “Hey! Hey big boy! Big boy with the big mouth. Teresa’s gonna say something to you.” Oh good, now she’s mocking the LGBTQIA community. Wonderful. At this point, it would have been better if she had reacted with amusement rather than defense. Because now she’s looking like a damn hypocrite after revealing on RHONJ her daughter had been bullied at school.
Then Jen gave Teresa the mic who wanted to know if the fan knew anything about having friends. The fan hollered, “Teresa, I wasn’t talking to you. Sit down,” and walked away. On Page Six’s Instagram, fans weren’t pleased with Jennifer’s performance. “Insane that Jennifer’s go-to is body shaming when she wouldn’t have what she has if it wasn’t for Bill [Aydin]. So vile,” one person wrote.
Fans call for firing …
Another shared, “Why are they fat-shaming the lady and who cares what she’s wearing????” “Teresa and Jen are classless. So tacky both of them,” a follower continued. “Just fire them both already! Grown ass high school girls,”
Again, people will justify Jennifer’s actions due to the nature of the fan’s question. But in the big picture, it’s not okay to body-shame people and if that’s your way to insult someone, it isn’t clever. And if you’re going to speak on sensitive manners concerning bullying, especially with children, practice what you preach.
