It was nearly a year and a half ago when Lenny Hochstein filed for divorce from Lisa Hochstein. To this day, the Real Housewives of Miami regulars are still not divorced.
But even if the two could successfully divorce from one another, problems would still abound. RHOM viewers got a hint into how difficult Lenny has been making the divorce process. But another figure who’s not so prominent on the airwaves is Lenny’s mom, Mariana Hochstein.
Rumors have flown about the dealings between Lisa and Lenny’s family, especially amid Lisa’s attempts to move out of Lenny’s house. So, with all the uncertainty out there, Lisa was given the chance to set the record straight.
Lisa accuses Mariana of saying “disgusting things”
During a November 4 panel at BravoCon 2023, one fan asked Lisa how the relationship was with her mother-in-law. “There is absolutely no relationship with them at all,” Lisa responded bluntly. “She doesn’t — I certainly don’t want one. I don’t know if anyone saw the disgusting things she said about me, publicly. Horrible, horrible things.”
She continued, “We can’t come back from it. There’s no coming back from the toxic relationship that we had… It’s very, very toxic.” However, Lisa did confirm that Mariana has continued seeing her grandchildren, Logan and Elle Marie. Lisa said Mariana “would love to be their mother and remove me from the situation. But that’s obviously never gonna happen.”
As for Lenny himself, Lisa revealed she once had hope for their post-divorce relationship. “I used to think we could maybe get past this and one day maybe be friends and be able to co-parent amicably. But he is making it so, so difficult. Everything is a fight, everything is a call to a lawyer; nothing is easy. I’m still going through it, unfortunately.”
