Real Housewives of Potomac alum Katie Rost hasn’t been on the show for quite a while, but she’s never far from the minds of fans. Katie won people over with her effortless beauty and somewhat scathing mouth.
But Katie was going through some rough times during Season 1. She was having major problems with her ex-husband and as a result, custody of her children. Katie also appeared “off” sometimes. By Season 3 we didn’t see Katie anymore because her issues got too big for television. She’s had stints of sobriety and working on herself over the years, but recently she fell off the wagon. Now Katie is once again trying to find the road to wellness. Radar has the details.

Katie might fall down, but she always tries to get up and that’s important in the big picture. It’s no secret she’s had battles with substance abuse over the years and those battles continue.
This week, Katie posted a video to social media detailing her most recent trip to rehab. Specifically, she’s concentrating on “alcohol use disorder.” Katie had previously been to the same facility “a year ago” and did “really, really well for a long period of time.”
Unfortunately “some stressers in her life this past month” gave way to trying to self-medicate. “Things got out of control and I started drinking again,” Katie said. This is one Real Housewife who keeps everything very real.
She added going “off my medication so that caused some problems” is what triggered the relapse. Her friends and family managed to persuade her to get back into rehab for some help. “It is a rehabilitation program. They also do studies. I am not doing a study. I am getting rehab,” Katie added.
So far things are going well and she’s keeping a positive outlook. “I am doing great,” she noted. Katie also explained she was well through the withdrawal period. “Things are looking good,” she concluded.
Earlier this year Katie was in the news after “begging” Andy Cohen for her job back. Hopefully she’s now in a safe place getting all of the help she needs.
