OG fans of the Real Housewives of Orange County were treated with many blasts from the past during BravoCon 2023. The early season RHOC stars got to shine when Vicki Gunvalson received a lifetime achievement award for being the OG of the OC. Vicki’s original cast members were there to present the award, many of whom haven’t appeared on reality TV for years.
Jo De La Rosa, Gretchen Rossi, Lauri Waring, and Alexis Bellino presented their former RHOC star with her forever orange during The Bravos ceremony. Alexis made a hilarious off-script joke about being the only woman on stage who had not slept with Slade Smiley. It had the crowd roaring. Many fans wondered how the old school crew of RHOC stars buried their several hatchets to honor Vicki at the show. Now, we have a little more insight.
All is well among the RHOC alums
Particularly, Jo and Gretchen have famously not been on good terms over the Slade of it all. Jo was Slade’s OG wife. Even though he seems to think of himself as a founding member of the Real Housewives franchise. A representative of Jo’s told The Messenger that the BravoCon reunion led to a peaceful future among the two former foes.
The rep revealed that the two spoke backstage about their issues from the past. “Apologies were made and both are in a great place — moving forward in peace and with nothing but respect for each other,” the spokesperson said. Alright, now let’s bring them back to RHOC for old times’ sake. However, let’s keep the Slade Smiley scenes to an absolute minimum.
