On Real Housewives of Miami Season 6, Episode 2, Guerdy Abraira found the strength to tell a few of her friends about her breast cancer diagnosis. She met with some of her cast members for drinks, making them the first group of people outside her family to learn of her diagnosis.
At the episode’s conclusion, Guerdy met with Larsa Pippen in the hopes of having a civilized conversation. As previews for the upcoming Episode 3 have shown, Guerdy did end up telling Larsa about her cancer diagnosis, but in confidence.
However, on November 12, the Instagram account @bravotalktoomuch posted another preview for Season 6, wherein Larsa divulged to other members of the Miami cast that Guerdy told her about the cancer. Everyone on Instagram rightfully saw this as a scummy move. Well, almost everyone. Larsa popped into the comments to defend herself.
Larsa claims she wanted “the girls to support” Guerdy
Larsa wrote, “I called and texted Guerdy after she called me fake in the press. She never responded. We argued back and forth which wasn’t shown.” As for the cancer, Larsa explained, “Then she told me [she] was diagnosed w/ breast [cancer, and] I was shocked and I wanted to rally the girls to support her. I’ve been nothing but a good friend to her.”
The fact that Larsa is still hung up on the fact that Guerdy called her the fakest Housewife speaks volumes. Larsa walked into Season 6 thinking about one thing, and she still hasn’t let it go. Other Instagram commenters did not appreciate Larsa’s attempts to defend herself. They noted how her explanation was littered with “I” statements and no focus on Guerdy.
@bravotalktoomuch cataloged Larsa’s response in a separate IG post, and there, users also noted Larsa’s selfishness. “It’s a BS cleanup job,” one wrote. “Her behaving this way made it clear she really was a fake friend for Guerdy.” As another fan put it, “Disagreement or not, the second Guerdy said ‘I have cancer’ Larsa should’ve dropped the beef and been there for her.”
