Is it ever okay for a married man to be out at the club until the crack of dawn? Todd Tucker seems to think so.
In a recent Instagram Live, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star argued with Kandi Burruss, about whether or not he should be allowed to stay out until 5 a.m. In Todd’s head, there’s nothing suspicious about a man being out at a nightclub that late. The Bravo Shaderoom captured the conversation, and it’s certainly awkward.
Come home, Todd
Todd is a 50-year-old father of four — of course, he wants to go out and enjoy the Atlanta nightlife. Who doesn’t want to let their hair down now and again? For Kandi, it becomes an issue when her husband is coming home as the sun comes up. The conversation went down while Todd and Kandi were getting into glam — a lining and a fresh fade in Todd’s case. He asked, “Why is there a big deal?”
Todd’s tone sounded like a teenager trying to ask their parent for a later curfew. In actuality, this is a married man trying to fight for his right to party. Kandi and her glam squad weren’t having it.
“You check my location, so you know I’m not at no chick’s house,” Todd argued. “Unless the chick lives at the club, or lives at Magic City, or lives at a restaurant.”
We all know Mama Joyce didn’t raise Todd to stay out that late. He has toddlers at home, and everyone knows that nothing good happens after the club closes. At that point, you should be picking up fast food, drinking a big glass of water, and then going to bed. However, Todd argued that after the club closes and the lights come on, he likes to stay around and chit-chat with the owners while the staff cleans.
“I know the promoters who actually run the place,” Todd claimed, “We’re just talking.”
He also pointed out the fact that Kandi has a “tracker” on his phone, so it’s not like she doesn’t know he’s out at the club. Kandi replied, “If you got a husband who likes to stay out like that, then you should definitely have a location on him.”
This conversation sounded like something that should have gone down in couples’ therapy rather than on Instagram Live with their glam squad. The whole thing just screams of trust issues. Either way, it doesn’t sound like Todd is going to listen to Kandi on this one. He’ll stay out as late as he wants.
