If you have been watching 90 Day Fiancé for at least a couple of years, you already know that many of the cast members have done some questionable things in the past. Because the internet is forever, as soon as a new cast member makes their on-screen debut, sleuthing fans are able to find details of their past online. These details then get plastered all over Reddit and Instagram.

It turns out that there are a shocking number of 90 Day Fiancé stars with criminal backgrounds. There are actually several cast members—new and old—who have concerning pasts. We’ve got all the tea, so keep reading!

Rob Warne

Viewers were weary of Rob Warne when they first saw him on 90 Day Fiancé season 10. His behavior towards his English fiancé Sophie Sierra caused fans to think he was manipulative. Some questioned if he liked her at all. When it came out that Rob was receiving (and responding to) sexual videos online, fans were not surprised. Sophie felt that Rob cheated on her, whereas Rob insists that what he did doesn’t count as infidelity.

Despite their first impression of Rob, viewers were still taken aback when they found out, via In Touch, that Rob has a criminal record. According to InTouch, Rob reportedly got into an altercation in Kansas in 2007 when he was a teenager. The altercation ultimately led to him getting charged with one count of aggravated battery and one count of battery. Nine months later, the L.A. man was allegedly charged with aggravated assault and obstruction or impeding lawful activities because of a situation involving an “air gun, air rifle, bow and arrow and slingshot.”

When information about these situations began circulating the Internet, Rob took to his Instagram Stories. He claimed that he was actually just “arrested for a toy, and having stupid friends.”

It should be noted that both incidents have been resolved. The first case was eventually dismissed, and the second was resolved after Rob paid a fine. However, the lack of details in both cases is concerning, and while Rob’s criminal history may be overblown, it’s still surprising that TLC would risk casting him in the first place.

Amanda Wilhelm

Just like with Rob, viewers were weary of Amanda Wilhelm when she debuted on 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days Season 6. Her toxic relationship with her partner, Razvan Ciocoi, was heavily criticized throughout the season.

Fans were shocked when In Touch reported that Amanda was charged with battery when she allegedly attacked another woman with a baseball bat in 2010. At the time, both Amanda and the other woman were teenagers. According to the news outlet, Amanda was arrested, although she insisted she was simply defending herself against the other woman.

Paul Staehle

Paul Staehle famously revealed his concerning criminal past to his partner, Karine Martins, in Before the 90 Days, and then ran away from her after he told her, after which Karine got robbed by a random man with a machete once Paul left her side. We literally can’t make this stuff up. These two are easily one of the most problematic couples in the franchise, and Paul’s criminal record doesn’t help.

Paul was apparently arrested for arson and went to jail because of it. After he was released, the Kentucky man’s then-girlfriend allegedly filed for a restraining order against him. Although he and Karine don’t appear to be together anymore, throughout the relationship they frequently filed restraining orders against each other. They have two sons, and neither of them reportedly have custody. Paul and Karine made headlines a few years ago when they were caught assaulting each other on camera in front of their kids. This couple was fired from TLC.

Geoffrey Paschel

Geoffrey Paschel is currently facing 18 years in prison. The American man was found guilty on aggravated kidnapping and domestic assault charges, as well as interference with emergency calls charges. Apparently, this incident took place before Geoffrey was cast on Before the 90 Days. The situation involved his ex-girlfriend. On the show, viewers saw Geoffrey’s relationship with Varya Malina, who now appears to be living in his house and taking care of his dogs while he is in prison.

Varya consistently claims that Geoffrey is innocent. Many viewers, on the other hand, are shocked that TLC did not uncover this information before casting him.
