Is a WAGS LA reboot something we need in the world? It’s not like anyone is running around asking for it, but Nicole Williams English recently teased that she’d be ready to bring it back!
The former WAGS LA star sat down with OK Magazine to talk about her modeling career, and she explained to the outlet that she’d be down to make a reality TV comeback. But is that something anyone else wants?
Resurrecting WAGS LA
WAGS LA premiered on E! back in 2015 and it aired for three seasons. Nicole starred in all three. If you couldn’t tell by the title, the show followed the wives and girlfriends of various sports players. It was always one of those shows that you would have on in the background in between episodes of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. It even spawned two short-lived spinoffs in Miami and Atlanta.
In 2018, E! got some new top executives and started canceling a bunch of shows, including WAGS. Perhaps it was a rating issue. Or, maybe it was just too similar to The Real Housewives. Either way, it’s been a while since we’ve heard from the WAGS LA gang. So, Nicole said she’s ready to showcase her new life.
“WAGS I feel like it was such a hit,” Nicole said. “I’m like, ‘bring it back.’ I would love to bring it back. I mean, me and all my friends have kids, and we can just have the whole family.”
Since WAGS wrapped in 2018, Nicole has been busy working as a model, starting a family, and running a swimwear line. Had E! not canceled the show, we could have followed this journey through reality TV. However, Nicole is ready to make up for lost time.
Nicole and her husband welcomed their first child earlier this year. When Nicole was pregnant, she landed a photo shoot with Sports Illustrated, which was a longtime career goal we heard about on WAGS. She didn’t expect to combine her motherhood journey and modeling journey, but that’s how life works.
“I now have something to show my daughter as she gets older, and I have a story to tell her,” she said. “Never give up on your dreams. Look at this, I was pregnant with you when my dreams finally came true, and it was just an epic moment for me.”
Surely, there are more epic moments to come for Nicole and her family, so she wants cameras to capture them. Maybe E! should give them another shot.
