Monica Garcia has certainly made an entrance during her first season on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. She came in like a wrecking ball of the best kind, and it seems like even more drama is yet to come since she snagged first chair at her first RHOSLC reunion.
Even though Monica seems to be playing the Housewives game well, she does have one regret from this season. No, it wasn’t making a scene with her mom at an Easter party or fighting with basically every person on the cast. It was something a bit more subtle than her usual on-camera antics.
Monica regrets splurging on a handbag
Monica sat down with Us Weekly for a Housewives’ Happy Hour interview. The interviewer asked Monica about her biggest purchase since being on the show, and Monica didn’t hold back on the cringe-worthy tale of her ill-fated splurge on a Louis Vuitton bag ahead of the RHOSLC’s cast trip to Palm Springs.
“Oh, my God. You already know. Freaking Louis Vuitton,” she exclaimed.
Monica says the purchase has been the subject of some intense debate among fans, with skeptics suggesting it’s a fake. But fear not, Monica declared, “That was a real bag. That was a real hard purchase.”
She continued. “I didn’t think it was going to be that big of a deal. Right now, I do [regret it].” Real bag, real regrets.
In a particularly vulnerable moment on the episode ahead of the trip, Monica tearfully spilled the beans about her expensive accessory, admitting she bought it to keep up with the other Housewives.
“I just feel like I want to have something nice around them, and I don’t want to show up with nothing,” she lamented, adding, “It’s so stupid. That’s not me. I’m not that person, I don’t care.” Who knew a purse could be so emotionally charged?
Monica’s divorce was recently finalized and she’s almost guaranteed another season after stirring every pot imaginable. So, with more money, more Louis Vuitton bags will probably be in her future – unless her tumultuous legal battle with Heather Gay drags on and becomes pricey!
