There have been multiple times that Andy Cohen has shown his bias towards a Real Housewives star. The king of Bravo has often favored a few beloved housewives and shunned multiple others. Whether that comes in the form of a cold shoulder or stern talking to at a reunion, the father of two makes his disdain evident.
Jennifer Aydin
Real Housewives of New Jersey star, Jennifer Aydin, is a firecracker and often extremely hard to control, much like fire. During BravoCon 2023, Jen felt enraged by a fan who asked why she was so far up Teresa Giudice‘s butt. Instead of playfully answering the question, she unleashed fury on the fan. She questioned their gender and called them out on their looks.
Naturally, it’s not a good look for a Bravo star to berate followers who paid a hefty price to attend the convention. Don’t forget Jen, we made you famous.
During Jennifer’s verbal lashing, she called the Garden State fan a “whale” and “big boy.” Jen then noted that the annoyed fan “wobbled out” of the theatre after her question. Yikes. When Andy was asked about Jen’s poor word choice and the fact that she doubled down, not even offering an apology, he noted he was “very disappointed.”
Andy went on to tell BravoCon viewers, “No! No! Oh, this is very disappointing. I don’t like this. I don’t like this…That’s a fan that paid to be there.” Andy then went on to say, “The way they asked the question, ‘Why are you so far up Teresa’s ass?’ it’s not nice. But it doesn’t deserve to make fun of someone’s size. They’re not saying, ‘You’re a horrible person.’ That’s nothing worse than I’ve ever asked.”
Monique Samuels
The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 5 was drama-fueled after Candiace Dillard Bassett and Monique Samuels found themselves enveloped in one hell of a fistfight. During the reunion, Andy was accused of not playing fair. He came hard for Monique and seemingly chose the side of the beauty queen. He was dragged for his lack of journalistic integrity after it became obvious he wasn’t going to stick up for Monique. Candiace had the support of the entire cast and was even allowed to talk more during the tell-all.
There’s no doubt that Andy held Monqiue’s feet to the fire, which seemed like a double standard. Andy eventually spoke out on Watch What Happens Live. “I have to say I was really pushing for this to be four parts,” he said. “I really talked to Candiace a lot about her role in this and the fact that really people think that…she provoked it, and she said, ‘Drag me.’ I know a lot of people were very upset.”
Carole Radziwill
Until the reality TV reckoning, Andy always had a soft spot for Bethenny Frankel. This was never more clear than when he went to bat for her against Carole Radziwill. After reiterating from his cue cards that Carole had claimed Bethenny should give a master class in gaslighting, he then noted to the writer that, “you both bashed each other on the show,” to which Carole replied, “You’re so full of sh*t, Andy.”
The host was not pleased with the lack of respect from the princess. After asking if he, too, was afraid of the Just B podcast host, Andy mocked Carole, answering, “Yeah, I’m afraid of her.” Carole’s comments didn’t go over too well, and she was fired from the next season, leaving Andy with the last laugh.
Brandi Glanville
In 2015, Andy went too far while trying to stick up for Kyle Richards during her feud with Brandi Glanville. The Bravo host showed there was clearly bad blood between the polarizing housewife as he noted, “It’s almost as if you’re playing with your dog, and all of a sudden your dog bites you by mistake.” Brandi immediately said, “Fu*k you. You can’t say that.”
Andy looked surprised that a housewife was standing up to him but tried to explain away the idiotic statement by claiming he was trying to defend her. Brandi shut him down, saying, “I’ve taken enough abuse since I’ve been here; I’m not going to take it from you, too.”
