Despite Tre fans still calling for her dismissal, it looks like Melissa Gorga isn’t going anywhere. We all know the drill by now. The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member has been embattled with sister-in-law and real star of the show, Teresa Giudice. Tre haters, I get why you loathe that last statement. But as much as I also hate to admit it, it really is the Tre Show.
Given how much power Teresa seems to yield, Melissa has had a rough go when it comes to making allies. But Tre has morphed into a full-blown monster over the years and it’s become harder and harder for those on the cast to continue sticking by her side. It’s obviously not a problem for Jennifer Aydin but I digress.
An unlikely pick
So who can Melissa turn to now that things are at an all-time low with Tre? On a recent episode of her podcast On Display with Melissa Gorga, she shared who she trusts in this wild west of a franchise.
“It’s weird because I think people would be shocked at who I say I trust on my show… [Dolores Catania].” Shocking indeed. Dolores was brought on as Teresa’s longtime friend and it was only recently that we saw the tides of their friendship start to turn.
A “mutual respect”
Melissa continued, “It’s not that you would see us cuddle up 24/7 or see us running around but if I had to choose to no end on the show, it’s Dolores.”
The clothing boutique owner then concluded, “We have mutual respect about things like that. And that’s huge when you know that there’s someone you can actually say something to and then you say, ‘Don’t repeat this on the show to this girl or that girl,’ they’re going to hold it and not repeat it.”
The Real Housewives of New Jersey returns to Bravo in 2024 for Season 14.
