While Mary Cosby has been fostering the relationships with her “friends” on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, her son has been developing a close relationship with Salt Lake City’s law enforcement.
After photos of Robert Cosby Jr. surfaced on social media of him with a bunch of drugs, we later learned that he had also been arrested in 2022 for DUI and drug possession. Mary had to come get him out of jail. Imagine how those conversations went.
Now, we’ve learned of even more legal trouble for Mary’s son. Earlier this year, he was caught by the police because they thought he was trying to break into an apartment. He gave them false information, which landed him in even more legal trouble. The U.S. Sun reported all of the details.
Another day, another charge
Robert’s latest arrest happened in May 2023. It all started when someone in an apartment building called the cops because they thought they saw someone breaking into their neighbor’s house. It turns out it was Robert Jr. and some unidentified girl. Maybe it was his new wife that Mary didn’t know about.
Either way, when the cops showed up, Robert and the girl jumped off the 3rd story balcony. The cops were waiting for them at the bottom, so all of those theatrics were for nothing. Then, when the cops asked for his ID, he gave them a fake one.
The police report read, “Cosby provided [an officer] with an Arizona driver’s license number… which dispatch checked and did not return to anyone and later determined it was a fake ID.”
The officer charged him with providing false information to the police. He also noticed that Robert was wearing an ankle monitor on his left leg, and he admitted that he was on house arrest! So, why was he at this apartment with an unidentified female jumping off of the balcony?
Ironically, the apartment that the cops thought Robert was trying to break into belonged to a friend. They weren’t burglarizing anything, so he at least avoided going to jail for breaking and entering. He walked away with a citation. Still, it’s a disturbing pattern of bad behavior and run-ins with the law. Let’s hope Mary can set him straight.
