Last week, former Vanderpump Rules star Rachel Leviss revealed she’s returning to the spotlight with a new podcast, Rachel Goes Rogue. This announcement was met with a mixed response. Many questioned if podcasting is really Rachel’s best medium. Although it seems almost every current or former Bravo star has a podcast now, regardless of whether or not they should.

As for Rachel’s forthcoming show, the timing, description, and teaser already raised eyebrows. Here’s everything that seems shady and suspicious about Rachel Goes Rogue so far.

Rachel’s Podcast Premieres The Same Month As Vanderpump Rules Season 11

One reaction to Rachel’s announcement was, why now? It’s coming up on a year since Scandoval. But the answer is obvious once you remember Vanderpump Rules Season 11 returns in January 2024.

Much to the dismay of the Pump Rules producers, Rachel chose not to return to the show. Considering Scandoval saved VPR from cancellation, it’s no wonder producers and cast members are sweating her exit.

It certainly seems like next year will be Tom Sandoval‘s redemption arc, whether viewers like it or not. Many don’t, and the cast’s hypocrisy and double standards are getting serious backlash. Lots of viewers are ready for Rachel to throw some shade. She has every right to carve out her own narrative and reject being the scapegoat.

Indeed, the teaser promised Rachel will use the podcast to tell her side of the story. Nevermind that she already claimed to do so multiple times before. Rachel set up her podcast to be the antithesis of the new season. We’re sure forthcoming episodes will be very shady towards the show that made her infamous.

Rachel’s Timing Is Shady Towards Ariana Madix’s Career Highs

Ariana Madix is riding the wave of a career high while also facing more backlash than ever. First, the good stuff. Ariana made it to the finals of Dancing With The Stars. She’s killed it all season. Seriously, have you watched her Britney Spears routine?! DWTS earned Ariana even more fame, fans, social media followers, and celebrity friends.

She also has a new book out, Single AF Cocktails. This is a longtime dream come true, after Sandoval tainted her last cocktail book. Ariana has said Single AF Cocktails is her version of a breakup album, and early excerpts show it includes new revelations about Scandoval.

However, Ariana is personally prepared to be VPR’s new villain amidst Sandoval’s preordained redemption arc. And the latest Something About Her merch earned a ton of backlash, since the sandwich shop’s opening is nowhere in sight.

We know it’s easy to forget the basics when there’s so much noise, but when you look at what Rachel did to Ariana during and after the affair, it’s pretty brutal. After acting like Ariana’s bestie, Rachel claimed they weren’t really friends and she only hung out with Ariana to be around Tom Sandoval. That’s…not the excuse she thinks it is. Rachel’s also repeatedly blamed Ariana for Sandoval’s cheating. And to top it all off, she accused Ariana of distributing revenge porn despite having no evidence.

If you’re still questioning Rachel’s willingness to shade Ariana, you must’ve forgotten about her strange need to compete with other women like it’s a beauty pageant. Maybe she finally grew beyond that, since she never won a pageant to begin with. But we’re not holding our breath.

Rachel’s Podcast Is Produced By Bethenny Frankel

What sets Rachel’s podcast apart from many other Bravo stars is that she has two big names behind her. iheartradio is a pretty famous platform. And we’re assuming Rachel’s podcast is on there because of producer Bethenny Frankel.

Bethenny isn’t shy about using Rachel in her war against Bravo and Andy Cohen. While some former Bravo stars aren’t as willing to join a Bethenny-led reality reckoning, Rachel openly admires her. Now, she’s rewarded with a show on Bethenny’s Just B podcast network.

Some of Rachel’s claims in her interview on Bethenny’s podcast earlier this year were questionable. However, Rachel also shaded producers for protecting Sandoval. She revealed they complied when he threw a hissy fit over their filmed conversation about Sandoval recording Rachel without consent.

She also made the very serious allegation that Kristen Doute got a spin-off to stay quiet about James Kennedy. It’s clear that Rachel is ready to go rogue and burn the bridge with Bravo for good.

Rachel’s Podcast Could Outshine Tom Sandoval

Rachel’s former affair partner Tom Sandoval is one of the many Bravo stars with a podcast. Like Rachel, the timing of his announcement was met with backlash. In his case, it was announced right after Ariana’s triumphant debut on DWTS.

After that buzzy announcement, some genuinely surprising revelations, and, of course, many eye-roll inducing quotes, how is Sandoval’s podcast performing? It seems like everyone collectively had enough, right? Sandoval’s spent months blabbing to the paparazzi at every turn, went on a cover band concert tour, and appeared on two Fox shows. By comparison, Rachel’s podcast is already at an advantage after she mostly stayed out of the spotlight.

Over the past few months, Rachel’s thrown serious shade at Sandoval. Surely, she knows by now that he loves attention most of all. Taking some of that attention away is how to hit him where it hurts. By coinciding with the VPR premiere, Rachel can cast doubt on his woe-is-me excuses every week. If anyone deserves the shade of Rachel going rogue, it’s Sandoval.
