As if there weren’t enough troublemakers on Bravo’s Southern Hospitality, producers are adding a new one to the fold for Season 2. Yep. Oisin O’Neill is the newest Republic Garden & Longue employee to sign a Bravo contract to appear on their slew of Vanderpump Rules-esque shows.
Of course, the series is known for the high amounts of drama between the cast members, their significant others, and sometimes their managers — which in this case is Southern Charm’s Leva Bonaparte.
Because there are so many cast members, conflict erupts from all angles. But when it comes to Season 2, it sounds like Oisin wasn’t afraid to have his hands in the mix.
What’s going down on Season 2 of Southern Hospitality?
During a Bravo event at Republic, Oisin caught up with The Messenger ahead of Season 2. When asked if the newest reality star enjoys creating a commotion, he said confidently, “No.”
“I stay away from drama at all costs.”
But moments later, Oisin said maybe he does enjoy getting a rise out of people. Which, ultimately, is what reality TV is all about.
“In all honesty, I think drama follows me,” he said. “I like to stir the pot a little bit or poke the bear, but it’s all just bantering, you know what I mean? And I love people’s reactions, so yeah, maybe I do stir up a little drama. Unintentionally, but it just all comes my way.”
Will Oisin shift the group’s dynamics?
In the sneak peek for Season 2, viewers could see the conflict that will take place between Oisin and Will Kulp over his girlfriend, Emmy Sharrett. However, based on Emmy’s comments, it doesn’t seem like she’s checking for Oisin anytime soon.
“You kind of see Oisin coming from a mile away,” she said regarding his flirty personality. “He’s not a very calm, sly person. He’s kind of obnoxious.”
“Yeah, Oisin certainly isn’t subtle, and you can see that from the trailer,” Will added, saying the newbie tests the group’s dynamics as the season progresses.
“I think the thing that people are [going to] be able to see is how Oisin tests our relationship and then how that tests our friendships with others because he definitely tries to insert himself between Emmy and me. And then that has a ripple effect amongst the friend group that is interesting to see play out.”
With the news surrounding Joe Bradley and Danielle Olivera’s new relationship, Oisin’s bold demeanor, and the Maddi Reese and Trevor Stokes storyline, Southern Hospitality’s sophomore year will be one for the Bravo history books.
