Southern Hospitality had an entertaining first season. Cast members Joe Bradley, Maddi Reese, Grace Lilly, and company all brought something to the table. Joe, the lady’s man, had a messy situation blow up in his face. Additionally, Grace fought with her co-stars over her position at work and her boss, Leva Bonaparte, over her work ethic.
If it sounds like a carbon copy of Vanderpump Rules — that’s because it is, and it’s just as riveting. Adding to the trio are Republic Garden & Lounge employees Will Kulp and Emmy Sharrett. During Season 1 of the show, the pair had just begun their relationship; during Season 2, we’ll see the duo navigating the challenges they face in a new long-distance relationship.
How’s Emmy and Will’s relationship during Season 2 of Southern Hospitality?
In a new interview, Will teased that viewers will see more about the reality star’s decision to enroll in law school — a move Emmy supported throughout Season 1. Although he’s handling his new life, the transition wasn’t easy.
“It’s been really testing on me, on my sanity, on my relationship with Emmy, on my relationship with my friends,” he told The Messenger. “And I think this season we really get to see me prepare for that challenge and try to navigate leaving everyone — because I’m about an hour and a half away — and setting up my relationships for that distance and for this work.”
“It just hasn’t been easy to try to navigate it all. It’s been new territory. So I will say that it’s been nice and healthy but also a challenge,” Will explained.
If there’s a third season of the Southern Charm spinoff, Will hopes he’ll be able to showcase his journey.
“I’ll be coming back to Charleston and working at a law office during the day and Republic at night during the summers, trying to just bartend my way through law school. So hopefully, if we do get another season, you’ll be able to see me kind of juggling all of those things,” he said.
Southern Hospitality’s sophomore year will feature new cast member Oisin O’Neill. He wastes no time getting involved in the drama.
“I think the thing that people are gonna be able to see is how Oisin tests our relationship and then how that tests our friendships with others because he definitely tries to insert himself between Emmy and me. And then that has a ripple effect amongst the friend group that is interesting to see play out.”
Southern Hospitality Season 2 premieres December 7 at 9/8c on Bravo.
