Our Thursdays just got a little brighter because Southern Hospitality is back and better than ever. Season 2 of the hit Bravo series premiered December 7 and picked up right where the Season 1 finale left us. Owner Leva Bonaparte is wasting no time setting the tone, Grace Lilly is still iconic, and newbie Oisin O’Neill is already pushing the boundaries, leading us to believe we’re in for an exciting batch of episodes.
Viewers also saw the fallout of Joe Bradley’s relationship with Mia Alario and how he tried to recover after fumbling the ball with Maddi Reese. Speaking of Maddi, the premiere episode focused heavily on her new life now that she’s moved in with her boyfriend, Trevor Stokes.
Despite Trevor’s infidelity in the past, Maddi took him back, stating her belief in second chances. Since then, the couple have been in their personal love bubble. However, Maddi’s co-star, Bradley Carter, had information to share that would rock her world.
Southern Hospitality’s Bradley felt he had to tell Maddi about Trevor
During the Season 2 premeire, one of Bradley’s fitness clients told him she was out on the town with Trevor, and he made a move on her. After Bradley asked if they had made out, she confirmed yes but said she didn’t know he had a girlfriend. Once he found out, Bradley had to tell Maddi, but he wasn’t sure how.
“Me and Maddi have a complex relationship to put it lightly, so it was just kind of weird territory for me to go and share that with her,” he told The Messenger. “It’s something you don’t want to hear, doesn’t matter where you’re from, let alone it being someone that you don’t get along with.”
Once he told Maddie the news, she stormed out of the restaurant and straight to Trevor’s home. According to Bradley, he wasn’t expecting that reaction from her.
“I was very surprised that she believed me. I’m surprised that she’s even willing to listen to anything that I had to say,” Bradley said. “But if someone has a history of cheating or being deceitful, it’s not like it’s something that’s hard to believe. It’s very plausible.”
Joe didn’t think about moving in on Maddi after learning about Trevor
Although Maddi received Bradley’s message at the moment, she wasn’t pleased to hear her friends were chatting about her relationship behind her back.
“…it was just shocking to hear more that my friends still kind of just want to go after my relationship,” she explained. “I feel like it’s my decision what I do and what I want to do, but at the end of the day, I want to be in a relationship with someone that I can trust.”
Throughout Season 1, watchers saw Joe fall deeply for Maddi; however, he could never make a move because of Trevor. But now that Trevor appears out of the picture, is this the perfect time for him to take a shot?
“I do think that me and Maddi have always had a connection. Even though we’ve never dated each other or been physically romantic, we definitely have a connection, so I don’t think it was like my reflex or initial thought to move in on Maddi at all,” Joe said.
“…I think at first, I just wanted to make sure she was OK because, like, when Maddi sees red, it’s not good for anybody. I just wanted to make sure that she was OK. But at the end of the day, I wasn’t trying to move in at that exact moment.”
We saw a glimpse of her rage during the end of the season premiere. There, Maddi confronted Trevor over the newest cheating allegations. In the sneak peek for the upcoming episode, things get even more heated between the couple during a passionate argument. We’ll have to stay tuned to see how that turns out.
