Vanderpump Rules Season 11 is fast approaching, and the cast is doing a promotional run that’s sure to leave their legs wailing.
Since the end of Season 10, multiple Pump Rules cast members have expressed how hard it was to pick up filming again. Even beyond Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval, the rest of the cast expressed how depressing it was to have to get in front of the cameras again.
Their feelings were understandable. Viewers knew no one would bounce back from Scandoval just like that. Now, Scheana Shay has directly commented on her struggles through Bravo’s Hot Mic podcast, now available for sign-up and full fan access.
Scheana struggles with loyalty for Tom or Ariana
On the podcast, producers Alex Baskin and Jeremiah Smith discussed the core of Vanderpump Rules, that is, the friendship between the castmates. With that friendship so strained after Scandoval, the producers asked for Scheana’s thoughts on the show’s future. “It is, you know, an ensemble cast,” Scheana began.
“It’s not just Tom and Ariana. But I feel like, the season that we just filmed, it was trying to figure that out for me personally,” meaning, her place in the existing dynamics. “Trying to see … do I just stay team Ariana and say F Tom forever? Do I try and work towards a path of forgiveness for me personally? Do I try to be his friend again?”
As she grappled with these questions of loyalty, Scheana began tearing up. She spoke about how she needed to improve as a person and a mother. “I don’t know that Ariana will ever understand how hard this was on me personally,” she said. “I wasn’t cheated on, but there was a lot that he did do personally to me, and I’m someone who always tries to work towards … forgiveness.”
Could it be that we’re about to see some Scheana and Ariana tension when Season 11 debuts?
