There is no denying that Robyn Dixon is having another rough season on the Real Housewives of Potomac, mainly due to her sketchy husband, Juan Dixon. During a recent episode, Karen Huger took it upon herself to try to cool tensions within the friend group, noting, “Somebody has to bring this group back together. We all need healing, and pickleball might bring us together.” However, all it did was give the rest of the women a platform to pick on Robyn and her questionable marriage.
RHOP Fans Clocked Robyn’s Pickleball Outfit
In perhaps one of the funniest outfits of the year, fans (and I) had a visceral reaction to Robyn’s athletic wear. Honestly, I don’t think I am wrong in the opinion that the leggings were just too much, especially because Robyn rarely wears outfits that shocking.
More and more Bravo stars are forgetting to wear pants with their outfits, but Robyn takes the cake. She waltzed onto the pickleball court with zero f*cks given. Dare I say the outfit felt a bit disrespectful to the other wives, too, since I am not sure anyone was happy that Robyn had her butt on display for all to leer at. Honestly, I blame Paige DeSorbo for this Bravo fashion trend, and it needs to be stopped.
However, there seemed to be a deeper meaning to the outfit. It was almost as if Robyn thought to herself, “how can I distract from the real issues?” The outfit was extremely extra, and it felt as if she was just trying to Juan interested in her amid cheating rumors. Robyn’s pickleball outfit appears to be another way she’s deflecting from the rumors about her husband. Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time she’s gone out of her way to cover for Juan.
Robyn Keeps Making Excuses for Juan
I understand wanting to have your spouse’s back, but at times, it feels like Robyn is blindly defending Juan, clearly making up outrageous reasons for his whereabouts. It is hard to listen to Juan’s “stories” since some just feel so made up. It is hard to believe a grown woman keeps falling for the same lies. There have been multiple times that Juan has been disrespectful and dismissive of Robyn’s feelings over the years.
Some that come to mind were when Robyn called Juan while on vacation, which ended up with him calling her “stupid.” The most recent season even showed Juan explaining why he was seen with his assistant coach at a nail salon, telling his wife, “Coach Bre is a beautiful, attractive woman.” I would not be happy with my husband if he spoke about another woman like that. But Robyn just tried to placate Juan and seemed to agree with his every word.
She is burying her head in the sand, trying to avoid the issues. However, constantly defending Juan and trying to divert attention with tactics like her pickleball outfit are clearly only making things worse.
Is Robyn Lacking Accountability?
Showing up in flashy, statement outfits seems to be an example of Robyn distracting herself from the real issues at hand. But it’s having a negative impact in more ways than one. During a recent episode, Karen basically dragged Robyn for her lack of accountability, but this trait could just be Robyn trying to pretend that her life isn’t falling down around her.
The ladies decided to give an impromptu intervention for Robyn, who neither wanted nor asked for such a moment. It is true that Robyn is trying to keep the narrative regarding Juan’s infidelity close. The main example of this was when she revealed his cheating on her podcast and not the show, which left many of her co-stars bothered. By doing this, she seems to be pushing her friends away.
For a moment, Robyn broke down, allowing her friends and viewers to see behind the veil. “Really!?,” she exclaimed. “Do you know what I’ve gone through? I’ve gone through f*cking torture.” The crux of the issue lies with Robyn having lied for most of the year and then expecting her friends to keep quiet. Even though she may think that withholding the information is helping her family, it just seems to cause drama and stories to be leaked.
Robyn Is Questioning Her Confidence
The pickleball outfit is just a way of covering up the fact that Robyn’s confidence has taken quite a beating. Robyn has always been beautiful, but she lacks the assurance that her husband finds her attractive. Unfortunately, trying to catch Juan’s attention with her outfits isn’t the healthiest way to repair her marriage. The pickleball outfit just went to prove that even Robyn doesn’t fully believe what she is trying to portray with the seductive outfit choice.
