There is heightened anticipation for the Vanderpump Rules Season 11 premiere on January 30. It’s been a solid 10 months since the cast filmed together and much has gone on in real time since Tom Sandoval’s affair with Rachel Leviss was exposed.
There have been consistent, and shifting dynamics within the group. A few familiar faces showed up last season to give Ariana Madix the support she needed. And it will be interesting to see how this post-Scandoval epoch will play out on camera.
As such, there is speculation about further appearances from original star Kristen Doute and her boyfriend Luke Broderick. Will they be joining in for the fun?
Could Pump Rules OG Kristen and her BF Luke appear?
On the December 9 episode of their Sex, Love and What Else podcast, Kristen and Luke put the speculation to rest after a fan questioned whether they would be making a cameo this season.
“That’s a hard no. Not as of right now. Ever,” Kristen said.
That sounds pretty decisive. But given her unceremonious exit from the series in June 2020 alongside Stassi Schroeder for inexcusable racially insensitive behavior directed at alum Faith Stowers, it seems a reasonable frame of mind.
A month after her termination, Kristen appeared on the “Hollywood Raw” podcast to reflect on the scandal that had her dropped from the series she had started on since the beginning.
“I think the biggest thing that I’ve learned is that I have so much to learn,” she said. “I know that’s super cliché and a lot of people say that, but it’s absolutely true, because I think that I thought that I understood racism, but now I’m really learning about unconscious bias. Learning about anti-racism. Learning about how we can do things locally to really truly make changes and putting work into your community locally to make those changes I think [are] so important.”
And what about Luke? He stated, “That is a no for Kristen. Now if you watch closely, you might catch a cameo of me in this season. You might. It’s hard to say. We’ll see.”
