Ariana Madix is defending Lala Kent ahead of the Vanderpump Rules Season 11 premiere — regardless of what the trailer may have you believe.
In case you missed it, we covered the news about the new VPR trailer that dropped last week. As one imagined, it had much to do with Tom Sandoval and his months-long affair with former cast member Rachel Leviss. Following the shocking news, many of the show’s remaining stars severed all ties with Sandoval in solidarity with Ariana. However, the new clip hints that some people may be going back on their word.
During the explosive sneak peek, Lala made an interesting comment about Ariana and her status following her breakup. “I have never experienced someone who gets cheated on and suddenly becomes God,” she said. We thought it was shade (and so did everybody else), but Ari says things are just peachy between the two.
Lala says her comment was taken out of context
After the trailer dropped, people began questioning if Lala was jealous of Ariana’s success. However, the reality star fired back, defending herself and their friendship. “I have always been a fan of hers. I think that shows throughout the years,” Lala said on an Amazon Live stream. “Have we had our ups and downs? Absolutely. But to see my friend thrive after such heartbreak? I am so happy for her, and I am so proud of her.”
She added that her comments were “taken out of context,” meant to evoke emotion from the audience. “That’s what the trailer is meant to do. It riled everyone up, everyone is talking about the trailer, everyone is giving their feedback, people are arguing in the comments section — that’s what we want.”
Despite what the trailer showed, the only relevant comment on this matter is Ariana’s, and according to her, the pair are doing fine. “But she’s been honestly very kind and supportive even since filming, and I love her a lot, a lot,” she said in the comments of a TikTok video.
Vanderpump Rules Season 11 premieres January 30th, 2024 at 8 p.m.
