Candiace Dillard Bassett has been dealing with some rumors concerning her husband. This is fairly normal on Real Housewives of Potomac, especially if your name is Robyn Dixon. While Robyn has suffered due to her roommate’s extracurricular activities, she’s also been trying to throw the spotlight of her crap situation over to Candiace.
It failed. Miserably. This was a tacky attempt to make poor Chris Bassett look bad when Gizelle Bryant already tried to do that in Season 7. Fans have already weathered Gizelle’s ridiculous story about Chris having the sheer audacity to look in her general direction. In the latest endeavor to take the heat off of Juan Dixon, some rando woman said she was sleeping with Chris. After the rando admitted she lied, Candy does feel some vindication – but wishes her co-stars with unhappy relationships would leave her alone. Page Six has the details.
Candiace begs your pardon …
On an episode of Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea podcast, Candy showed up and showed out. She finally broke her silence on the woman who accused Chris of baking her pies on the side.
“Is it nice be vindicated? I guess,” Candy began. She’s apparently more concerned about her good buddy Robyn’s involvement in the situation. Robyn and Gizelle didn’t hesitate to talk smack about the rumors on their podcast. “At the end of the day, I don’t like that this was someone who I considered a big sister and we have fallen apart. That to me is the loss,” she added.
I wonder if Robyn is listening or if she’s too concerned about where the Juanderer is right now. “And the loss is greater than the vindication for me,” Candiace noted.
The lies, the lies, the lies …
In November, a woman called Ayanna Williams admitted to completely lying about her affair with Chris. When she confessed to being petty and having too much free time, Ayanna said, “I lied. I never met Chris Bassett, I never talked to him,” she wrote. “I made the whole thing up. I’m sorry that my actions hurt people.” But who put her up to it?
Robyn and Gizelle had quite a time discussing Candiace’s purported marriage issues, but don’t dare discuss Robyn’s. “People are probably going to try to say, ‘Oh, we need more proof, we need more proof, we need more proof,’” Robyn said on her podcast. “I’ve seen enough to kind of know that something was done that wasn’t supposed to happen.’” And how does she know that kind of thing? Because of the eleventyhundred times she’s turned a blind eye to Juan’s indiscretions? Stay tuned.
