Lisa Barlow and Monica Garcia have an interesting dynamic on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. They started off friendly enough, but that quickly changed after the newbie started going after Lisa for being fake.
A lot of tit-for-tat followed, much to the amusement of RHOSLC viewers. But when faced with serious issues, it seems these two show up for each other. Lisa comforted Monica when her family in Bermuda declined to meet her. Earlier in the season, Monica helped Lisa look for her “$60K” ring that she lost in an airport bathroom. It was never found.
But a vicious rumor that Monica perhaps took the ring herself forced the group to revisit that incident. And Meredith Marks was asked to comment on whether she believed that to be true.
Do the RHOSLC cast think Monica stole Lisa’s ring?
The fashion designer told Us Weekly that she has “no reason to believe” that Monica pilfered the precious jewel.
In an interview with “Housewives Happy Hour,” Meredith explained how she thinks the rumor got started.
“I mean, she did have a ring that looks very similar on her hand, but she said it was from Amazon. I have no reason to believe it,” the RHOSLC star stated. Mer added: “I wasn’t in the bathroom. I have no context for that whatsoever.”
The fact that Monica was spotted wearing a similar ring got viewers talking. But none of the cast members spoke about it.
“I don’t think any of the women actually ever said that. I think there was some rumor that got started online,” Meredith explained. She also pointed out: “I don’t think anyone [on the cast] believes that either.”
It’s interesting that Meredith was asked to comment given recent events on the show. Her castmates believe her to be involved in every conspiracy theory that hits the group. She’s even been accused of digging up documents to back up said rumors. For now, no one is giving any life to the rumors that Monica stole Lisa’s ring.
